Damian and the D Day Plumbing team were very professional and knowledgeable and provided an estimate with a couple different options and their related costs. They installed a new utility sink, sink pump, and needed piping and valves with tie ins to the main septic. They made improvement above and beyond the initial job breakdown, all the while staying within budget. I will certainly consider them again for any future work. "I had what turned out to be a clogged pipe going from the house to our septic tank at midnight. I hired another plumbing contractor to come and fix it overnight, as Rooter-Man's 24x7 operator didn't pass on the message. The first contractor started to drain the water from the entire system via a trickle into a 5 gallon bucket at $255/hour. After 2 hours, I sent him home and continued to drain the system for another 3-4 hours on my own, with the expectation that he would return in the morning to continue. I received a call early in the morning from Chris at Rooter-Man. I asked him about the approach that the first contractor had taken, and he suggested that draining the system wasn't necessary. He indicated that the proper approach under the circumstances was to first open the septic tank, to insure that the levels were proper, to prohibit backflow into the home, and pump it out if necessary (it was not). Once open, cleaning the drain by snaking from the outside, through the septic tank, would provide the solution without draining the system. After careful consideration, I called the first contractor back and asked him not to come, and called back Chris and had him complete the job. He was very conscientious, calling when he was on his way, to insure that I was expecting him. I walked him through everything and he was able to complete the job in roughly 1 hour, including cleaning up for the first contractor. He was courteous and friendly, clearly had a command of the issue and executed like an experienced professional. His price was less than what I had prepared for. The fact that I was unable to contact him overnight is my only criticism, and why my overall rating is 4.5, rather than 5. When I asked him this, he resolved to find and correct the issue with the answering service operator. He also indicated that when deciding who to contract with, for a problem such as mine, to try to use a "drain professional", rather than a plumber, as the approach taken may vary (as I found out). FWIW, I initially called Roto-Rooter, who offers 24x7 service, and they also did not call me back until the next morning, despite promises to the contrary. I would recommend Chris & Rooter-Man without any reservations."

"Response to my query was immediate. Husband and wife team, Gisele and Amir, came out to the house and wrote down all the things I needed done around the house. The jobs were many and varied and ranged from replacing basement windows, to creating backing for my lower kitchen Lazy Susans (so things don't fall off in oblivion), to staining a deck railing, to repainting basement and outside concrete walls, to reglazing and caulking windows, to creating a trap door for the plumbing, to sealing off/covering some dangling electrical wires, to patching a hole in an inside wall, and more. I got a full 4-page written quote ahead of time and was satisfied with it so I had them begin work right away. I left the house for a few days to go on a business trip and when I came back ALL of it was done and everything was cleaned up. There was only 1 thing that needed a bit more work and Amir came back and did this as soon as we could get it arranged. I liked their work ethic and professionalism so much that I have hired Gisele and her cleaning company to do my monthly housecleaning. We've had one cleaning so far and it was done well. Gisele speaks both English and Portuguese and will do translating when necessary for Amir and her cleaning staff. I am having fun learning some Portuguese words, too! They are delightful, easy to correspond with, up-to-date with technology (you can text and Venmo them), and I will continue to use their services."
