"There were about 6 things and altogether it added up to about $800. Since then I haven't called him back. I would give him an "A" for the estimate. It's just that the most important item on there, he said I didn't need it, because it was a matter of turning the shower off, I mean the diverter off. That is not the case, I tested it several times and it does need something, I don't know what. Since I had gotten the tub refinished I didn't want to have water dripping in it. I can't seem to find a plumber that wants to do that particular small job. He's one of a couple that I asked and they all said, all you have to do is turn it a certain way, but that is not the case. I have sort of put it on hold. I liked them. I liked him and the assistant, Brendon Nagle and his assistant. They are very nice and I felt they could do most things. I have to call the guy that refinished the tub, because he suggested I get this part and no other plumber seems to agree; but I know it's the case. I do not want to ruin the tub. It causes rust around the drain, the water sitting. It's complicated. I would call Brendon Nagle again, but I have to research this particular project. I thought the price was fair, but it didn't seem like a bargain to me. Even though the quality is not applicable, I would give an "A" for knowing and being jolly. They were there the next day."

All though it wasn't an emergency a plumber arrived within an hour and completed the work in a half hour. The cost of the repair was very reasonable and less than I expected it to be. "I have to say that as someone who is a manger in municipal government and deals with contractors all the time, I believe this was probably the best experience I've ever had with a contractor.  
During a torrential downpour after an ice storm, my wife and I discovered that we had water pooling outside one of the windows in the back left corner of the basement. It was seeping down in the foundation and coming through where the concrete floor met the cinder block foundation. A good amount of water was already there and it was about 2-3 inches deep in an area that would probably be the size of a small bedroom. The worst part is that it would not stop! Even after I cleaned it up with a Shop Vac it kept coming.
First of all, AJ answered his phone at 10 o'clock at night which is rather impressive in itself. He gave my wife and I some advice on how to slow the infiltration down until he could get there personally. He said he would be there the next day. The next day there was about 8 inches of snow on the ground and I thought there wasn't anyway he'd get there. But he actually showed up in the worst snowstorm of the year. He evaluated the situation, told me what it would require to fix it, and let me know what it would cost. He said he could do it the next day. I received a couple of over-the-phone quotes from other waterproof basement companies and I can tell you AJ was very reasonable compared to the estimate many were giving me.
AJ and his crew showed up the following morning and were great. I can't say enough about his crew and how professional and efficient they were. By 2 pm my french drains and sump pump were installed. Now, obviously the most important part is the quality and whether or not everything worked. Well the system has gotten plenty of use in the last week due to snow melt and rain and I can report that the drains and pump are working as designed!
This was one of the most stressful situations we've had during our short time as homeowners and  AJ really helped alleviate that stress. I want to have some outside work done to reinforce what has been done on the inside and I plan on calling AJ again.

"From the second I called Zoom Drain they were the most professional, prompt and thorough company. We had our main line sewer break, they were out first thing in the morning for a quote. The following day we called them back (they gave us the BEST quote by far) to have them come do the work and though they had a busy schedule they fit us in the very next morning! The job ended up being quite more extensive than originally thought however they worked EXTREMELY hard for 2 solid days to fix our problem. They left our home well after dark in the bitter cold better than they found it by far. I could not recommend them higher!
