I determined that there was no dishwasher leak and in the process learned how to check for leaks and trouble shoot for some common repair issues. I checked the drainage on my kitchen sink and learned how to empty out the "trap" and that most likely, I am okay, but what to swap out if I have continuing issues with slow drainage.
