He kept asking me for money every single day he was working for me.   He would hand me a scribbled note with some material prices on it.  I finally told him to stop asking me for money every time I saw him because I was getting irritated with the daily requests.  Overall Rudy is a nice guy and I would recommend him but do spend some time up front negotiating the price for the job and getting in writing before you give him the go ahead to start work.
