This is the second time that we have hired The Painting Company.  The first time was for an interior job in 2012.  

This time they painted the full exterior of the home including pressure wash of the entire exterior.  They also made minor siding repairs as needed.  They painted all of the siding, the gables, and all window casings on both the ground floor and a very high second floor.  

Dave and Lynn (the owners) are very knowledgeable and personable.  Both times, Lynn has had good ideas to suggest about accent colors, etc and has helped us to select the paint colors. They have always done a quality job.  We will be hiring them back again this spring for our wood deck.

"James did an excellent job. There was a lot of trim work including crown molding and chair rails plus more elaborate woodwork on a lot of windows. Additionally, there were tall ceilings and tall windows. It was a tedious job, but his meticulous work made our newly purchased but 33-year-old house look new again. At Plasterworks we mainly perform plaster work new and old renovations as well as ornamental plaster and any stucco applications as well. We have a fifth generation plasterer leading our crews and also have several artists to refurbish existing broken ornamentals or make a new design if desired. Our quality of employees is equally matched to our quality of work. We can also perform all other aspects of construction with exception to plumbing and electrical, but can manage and coordinate this for you as well. We have been in business for 5 years now. "For a while, I was really always it seems that anytime I needed something, I couldn't get it timely. The first they would ask, for instance, when my air conditioning went out I had them and it's well have you maintained it. The application being that if you couldn't produce maintenance records they weren't going to do it. So on air conditioner was unhappy. They shocked me . I had a recent leak inside the loft. They sent somebody out here. They really did a good job on it. They were timely. A leak within the draining system inside the wall, I was getting water damage down the wall. They sent a plumber out. He opened up the wall and replaced the piping in there and then patched the wall back up. They don't do finish work on their patch up but hey do the patch. He was a pretty sharp young man. He was responsive. He came and he needed some things. he went and got them. He came right back. That was one that I was wondering if they were even going to do caus they'd been going on for a while. It was a drainage pipe in the wall. It was a manufacturing defect that had probably leaked from some early years of the home and got progressively worse until I could hear it. Actually when I would turn on the water on a certain faucet I could hear it drip down onto a fireplace. That's how I knew what it was. They don't do the finish. You do the finish. They do the patch. The only reason I kept them was because they showed me a different face with that repair. Before it seemed like everything you wanted they had a reason not to do it."
