He outlined an engineering solution to invasive moisture and foundation erosion by building a sub-terainian trench around the house and inserting high quality  plastic piping to sustain a continued drain-off of the moisture. The  solution by its very nature is labor intensive and I thought that the price of approximately $3500 was reasonable. I currently do not have this problem so awhile. If i had water in my basement, I don't think I would hesitate.
