We agreed to test this approach with the idea that we would go full refinish if the results were not good enough. Jim scheduled a time to begin. The results were stunning. Not only did he match the original stain and restore the finish to match. He did it in four days (needing some time for finishes to dry as he progressed). Jim is a miracle worker. I was afraid that we might be reduced to painting the cabinets and living with patchy finishes. Instead it is like there was never damage."
