"Overall I thought this project went pretty well.  Cliff Hott (owner) and Kevin (solid worker) quickly diagnosed the problem and told me exactly what they were going to do.   These to guys know what they are doing.  It was amazing watching Kevin...this guy did not slow down as he moved a thousand miles per hour.  I got tired just watching how fast he moved.  They showed up exactly when they said they would to do the repair.  The repair took about 2 hours to complete and then I had to wait an extra day for Loudoun County inspector to come out and sign off on the repair once it was completed.  This delay was NOT the fault of Loudoun Septic.  I take pretty good care of my lawn so I was concerned about them digging the trench and tearing up the back yard.  Cliff and Kevin did am excellent job.  Cliff went the extra mile to dig up solid rectangles of good grass and place them to the side so that they could be place back on trench once it was filled back in.  At the very end of the project, Kevin went above and beyond to make sure he replaced the sod back to the best of his ability.  I am pretty sure many of other of contractors would have just replaced the trench with dirt and not cared about the grass.  For this effort they get an A+.  Another item to note was the Cliff quickly pointed out to me that I had a cheap brand filter in my main septic tank.  He replaced it with a commercial grade heavy duty filter.  He and Kevin gave me a crash course on how to clean the filter and even rigged up a long handle for me to grab it out of the tank so that I would not have to reach way down in the tank to retrieve the filter.  The cost of the new filter and re-cutting of the "T" pipe was included in the total cost.  Laurie who is the office manager for Loudoun Septic was very friendly and was always available when I called to ask questions.

"I originally called another septic company to do my five year pump out of the septic tank. This was our first time having this done because we didn't own the home the last time the septic was pumped. The other company was so incompetent and couldn't find the hole to pump out the septic tank after looking for about 15 minutes. They told me they would need to git a backhoe to come out a dig. I assured him that I remember the selling real estate agent telling me that the previous company that did the work didn't have to go through all that hassle. "I came home from work to find our 40-gallon water heater was not working (it was working that morning). The pilot was out and I could not get it re-lit (I do know how to light a pilot) After checking a number of companies on Angie's List, I contacted DB's Plumbing and Drain. Although it was almost 6pm, a very nice person answered the phone and I explained my dilemma. I was told they could send someone that night but would have to charge an after-hours rate. I was reasonably certain what was wrong would not be a simple fix like re-lighting a pilot so scheduled a visit for the following morning between 10 am and 12 noon. Michael D arrived shortly after 10 am. He was very courteous, polite and professional. Before entering my home, he donned a pair of shoe covers which was kept on as long as he was in the house. He diagnosed the problem as being a failed main burner system. As the water heater was 14-years-old, I weighed the cost of replacing just the main burner system on such an old unit against replacing the unit itself. I opted for the water heater replacement. Michael setup the old unit to drain while he went to retrieve the new one from their warehouse which took him about 45 minutes. Upon his return, he removed the old unit and cleaned up the area. He then cut back the existing copper lines to eliminate the numerous soldered couplings from the previous homeowner's repairs. He installed new copper pipes including a new quarter turn shut-off valve. A catch pan was placed and the water heater setup in it. Up reconnecting the gas line, he installed a sediment trap or drip leg (it did not have one previously) which catches sediment sometimes present in natural gas. After bringing the system online, Michael checked the gas line connections for leaks using a detection monitor. The installation was clean and neat and it is obvious Michael is conscientious about his work. Always interested in how things in my home work, Michael was very gracious in answering my questions regarding the installation. I am very happy with the install.and would like to thank Michael for his professionalism and the education."

"I highly recommend this Plumber. Tommy is pleasant, professional, honest, fair, reasonably priced and most of all, he provided quality work. He arrived promptly as scheduled and completed all the work in one day. Due to the recent unusual amount of rain; for the first time in 14 years, my crawl space took on over 14" of sub-surface water. I didn't even have a sump pump because I never needed one before. Tommy came out a few days before the major work was to begin and dug a temporary sump pump pit to get the water out. A few days later he came back and dug a 3-foot sump pump pit and installed it, removed and replaced my old vapor barrier, installed two new water heaters, a new dehumidifier, and a new pressure tank. It's been a week now and I've been checking my crawlspace regularly. Although it's continued to rain everything has remained dry. Best of all he warranted his work for 2 years. I would definitely use him for any of my plumbing needs in the future."

"Joe Ginger is the real deal. I live out in Cumberland on a well, and both my water compressor and well pump went bad. Commonwealth Plumbing was out to investigate the issue quickly yesterday. Joe estimated that he'd need to replace both the pump and compressor at significant expense (to me, anyway), and he came back this morning prepared to do that. After getting further into his investigation, though, Joe let me know that he could save both elements. His honesty saved me 75% of the original quote. Joe could have gone through with the job as he'd quoted it, which I accepted, but he was honest and gave up revenue in the interest of sleeping well at night. Joe was courteous, punctual, honest, and just generally a great guy. When you don't know much about something like plumbing and have to rely on a contractor, Commonwealth is the kind of company you want in your corner."
