He also looked at our water heater (which they do routinely, apparently) and saw that our expansion tank was not functioning. "Overall it went well. The next day they had a track hoe delivered to the home and started looking for the line in the back yard. They found it fairly quickly and opened up the hole and cut the line in the hole to at least allow us to flush the toilets and use showers. They took 2 more days to reconnect us to the sewer main. Overall it went pretty well and he charged me exactly what he estimated on Monday. My only hesitation was that I didn't have time to get 3 bids but that would have probably added another week to the schedule. Not much I could do though under the circumstances. He didn't try to gouge me after it took an extra day to complete. They arrived early on the last 2 days to complete as quickly as they could once the rented equipment was on site. Overall I am pleased and thought Adam and his partner were very ice and professional. I work in the engineering and construction business and understand there is not much certainty in underground work."
