"Extremely well. I hired Impresair to remove a layer of asbestos shingles from the exterior of my house. But, as the asbestos shingles were gradually removed, we discovered that the house also had a second layer of asphalt shingles under the asbestos shingle layer that was visible. This meant that a second, and unexpected, layer of siding also needed to be removed and hauled away. No problem for Impresair. They just brought in additional workers to complete the extra removal work on schedule...and finished the work on a day when we were experiencing showers for the entire day. They simply worked through the showers. Impresair is a very professional company and I strongly recommend them to anyone who is interested in removing asbestos shingles from an old house. They arrived on time and the crew worked very diligently for three long days. When the siding was all off, they cleaned up the job site very well and made every attempt to locate any stray nails that might have been overlooked during the clean up work. A week later, they sent me a number of official documents for my retention that serve to substantiate that asbestos had been remediated successfully at my address. "We hired Bertie Walsh to re-do our garage ceiling which had been incorrectly repaired by a different contractor (not a contractor found on Angie's List).  Bertie was a godsend because after he removed the ceiling he pointed out to us that the previous contractor had failed to connect the blue board to the joist (not sure if that's the right word) and there also wasn't any strapping holding it to the subsurface, which would have caused it to eventually bow out.  Bertie put a new section of ceiling up and finished it with plaster and did a remarkable job matching the existing ceiling.

Bertie is quiet and hard working.  No fluff with this guy.  He's an honest, no-nonsense guy who will give you a very reasonable quote, will show up when he says he will, and then quietly and diligently do the work.  He cleaned up well after the work was completed.  I found myself looking for other things that needed plastering or handiwork around the house just so we could hire him again.  Yep, he is that good!
