"Aztez representative and workers were prompt and courteous. Overall the job turned out OK and looks nice. The James Hardie stucco sheets and trim were installed in a manner that is much better and should be more weather resistant than original stucco sheets. All trim pieces, including angle cuts, were cut by hand with a circular saw but look very good. Notes from the job that lead to my overall rating. 1) Aztec representative and workers communicated very well with me to discuss and decide on options for specific details to ensure the overall look and appearance was maintained. 2) Instead of removing the old siding, I was talked into installing the new sheets over the existing sheets. Because of this, I asked repeatedly to be informed of any damage or deterioration due to water intrusion (old siding had rotted in several locations) and to remove/repair any damage prior to installing the new sheets and trim. To my knowledge, this did not happen because I caught working covering up one location that needed repair. I was disappointed this was not brought to my attention. Were there other areas of damage that were covered up and not repaired? I'll never know. 3) Job was quoted with 2 coats of paint. Paint was sprayed and completed in 1 day. I asked how it was possible to apply 2 coats of paint in one day without letting the 1st coat dry. I was told, 2 passes with the sprayer was the equivalent of 2 coats of paint. I was not aware of this practice and not sure this really constitutes the equivalent of 2 coats of paint. While I noted that I would hire again, this would only be with closer oversight. The latter 2 issues left me with the opinion that the priority of the workers was to get the job done as quickly as possible with less emphasis on quality of work. While I have given a passing grade, there is opportunity for improvement."

"Good company with good people. We wanted Hardie siding installed on our house and have had some dealings with contractors in the past that left us hesitant and concerned about having more work done. When we expressed these concerns, to our POC Tony, he scheduled a meeting with the owner of the company and we all worked through the process of discussing and addressing concerns and ensuring we all had a good understanding of expectations and time lines. Tammy contacted us weekly to let us know if scheduling and updates and when it came time to do the job the crew was on time. They were professional, had great work ethic and were courteous. When my husband and I had any concerns throughout the installation, the crew our Tony or Corey would work with us and address or correct any issues. They are an honest company and they went above and beyond to do a wonderful job on the siding of our house. We are 100% satisfied and thrilled with the end result."

"Due to a hailstorm in Spring 2017, the vinyl siding of our home had been damaged and had been recommended for full replacement by our insurance. For about a year, we contemplated between the options of replacing the siding with vinyl or upgrading to James Hardie siding, the latter being twice the insurance proceeds. The owner, David Mills explained in great detail the features of JH siding, the need to replace some of the house trim to boral and how the entire project would proceed from start to finish. From the first time we met him, David came across as a reliable and trustworthy individual and made us feel comfortable in handling a complex and expensive job such as this. The whole process took approximately 10 work days. His team removed and replaced our old vinyl siding with James Hardie plank, added new boral trim and exhaust vents, repainted all the exterior trim, garage door and added new gutters and downspouts. The crew was extremely professional and courteous and did an excellent job. The end result looks fantastic and was worth the extra money. I would highly recommend this company for the high quality of their work and professionalism."

"It’s now been 9 months since they completed the job and I have yet to find defects. If you want a professional, knowledgeable - "no pressure-take the time you need to decide" sales process….quality work done, excellent communication, and prompt follow up ensuring everything is done to your satisfaction -- then hire Tom Pantzer/JD Hostetter. My wife was home with our 3 kids while the installation was done over the course of a week, and she was very comfortable with the crew. His site foreman Tony genuinely cared about getting the job done right, and had a great working relationship with his crew. They worked hard and didn't waste time. I also know why Tom wasn't the cheapest. The cheapest guys we talked with seemed to care most about "we do more jobs than anyone and get them done fast..." Tom wasn't the most expensive either - he was fair and honest from start to finish. Bottom line - you get what you pay for. Nobody likes spending thousands of dollars on siding, but we feel relieved we won’t be spending thousands more to fix shoddy work down the road. We found/called Tom only because of his great reviews on Angie's List, and are glad we did."

"They were exceptionally easy to work with, their prices were good, and the quality of workmanship was excellent.   They replaced our original gutters with seamless ones ($1622)   They replaced the aging roof on our storage shed ($600).   
They replaced 18 windows throughout the house and installed insulated vinyl siding over existing siding.  They covered soffit and fascia, and replaced the shutters.   All this was $18,080.    We had asked for a specific brand of windows and insulated vinyl siding and they accomodated those requests. 
There were only two minor bumps in the entire process.   The nails used for the shed roof were way too long.  They came back and hammered them flush with the inside ceiiing.  Original size of shutters ordered was wrong, but they ordered the correct size and put those up.  
At every step of the process, they were very informative about what was happening, and most concerned that we were satisfied with all the work.   We would hire them again for other work.  Our house looks fantastic!

"Did not know extent of damage until wood was uncovered. Could have been really bad. Wood fixed without removal of aluminum siding. Chad was the carpenter who was professional and polite. Like most problems, had to call in mason to fix loose and sagging bricks. Mason quoted $325.00 then charged another $50.00 for materials? Didn't argue since mason was quick to come out. Mason took little over an hour for job. Overall it is always difficult to go through house repairs. A lot of anxiety. Felt OK with everything and Chad was great and wonderful to work with. Work took about three days to complete. But there was a lot of uncovering and wood replacing. When you write the check and don't feel screwed, it was a good job! Would use again!!! Glad I checked Angie's List and found them!"
