"Eric did a very good job at discussing my project which was the complete re-stucco of my house. Eric made me feel good about hiring him. He worked with my painter's timeline to make sure the best job was completed in a timely manner. Primarily, The Stucco Shop had to complete the acrylic coat and wait for the painters to complete their portion of the job. Eric then finished the stucco right away. I really appreciate the finished stucco, especially, the texture that I was looking for. Clean up was excellent as was the overall quality of the work. "On a home built in 1957 Approved Contractor Inc (ACI) installed new construction windows and sliding glass doors, stripped the house of old siding, removed old plywood sheathing and old insulation, and then insulated and stuccoed the house. What was important was not only finding a reputable construction company, but also one that would coordinate the total project. The added benefits were quality work and high-end material, at a competitive price. Of note, was the stucco method (4 layers-coats - scratch, brown, finish and texture). The texture coat is an elastomeric paint (color of my choosing) that is water repellent, reflective and provides an even color on the walls - with a lifetime warranty. Other stucco contractors stop on the finish coat, with the color in stucco. In addition ACI uses its own subcontractors. ACI was professional, flexible, and did really great work. ACI was a superb choice."

"It took 3 hours to get an estimate. The salesman kept pressing for information about how much money I could put as a down payment. I only got an estimate after I threatened to leave. The total cost was very high. The person who called to schedule the salesman appointment was very pushy about windows and siding. About a week after my conversation with the salesman, a person called from DaBella and asked for a review of my experience. I finally hung up in exasperation. I have had other estimates from roofers who were able to be simple and direct. Price was a secondary factor in rejecting the company. We got three different bids, and San Diego Painting was right in the middle of the bids as far as cost was concerned and Al Canales, the estimator, struck me as being very concise about the job and I liked his attitude. We did not have the work done until March, but Al was very patient and understanding as to our anxiety about the job, since this is our first home and our first attempt at major repair. The forman for the job, Victor, was very professional and careful when removing the siding so that we could preserve the old wooden shingles underneath......which was a critical part of the job.
