"We called Heartland Handyman Services for what we thought was just to paint 2 rooms. Javier showed us there was much more involved. With little to no effort at all, he showed us that the room's window was not seated and secure. The window sill came off with a little tug. Inside the wall were signs of water leaks. In the other room, the floor had been damaged and since it could not bear any weight, we could step through the floor. Heartland had to open up the outside siding, repair the exterior wall, reseal the siding, reseat the windows, insulate the walls, besides the original plan to paint the 2 rooms. He also had to reinforce the outer wall, repair the underflooring and install a new floor."

He also sealed cracks all aroud the house, painted the whole house and did extra ensurances to seal the rest of the stucco. "Eddy's crew worked in stages to remove two walls, dispose of wallboard and other lumber trash, and replace a load-bearing wall with an LVL beam.  The removal and re-construction, adding the LVL beam took one day.  It passed the building inspection on the first inspection.  At the end of the day, the room was swept, dusted and the floor washed to remove wallboard dust.  During the work, the entire area was totally sealed in plastic sheeting so that no dust escaped to other parts of the house.  The second stage, installing wallboard and taping and spackling, took two days - the joint compound takes at least overnight to cure hard.  When complete, the walls and beam were smooth and looked great.  Again, after the work, each day, clean up was thorough, furniture in the room was dusted clean, and the finished job passed township building inspection.  Overall I am very pleased.  Eddy is honest, does what he says he will, has experienced tradesmen to do each part of the job, and charged reasonably - midway between the lowest and highest quotes i got for the job. I would definitely used ETC again."
