"Empire floors did the best project out of several we hired th S summer. Good communication between salesman, office, installers, and customer. They did what they promised, on schedule, for a fair price. Quality of materials is very good. Workmanship varies. Wood floors by Manuel are very nice - all completed in one day, a very nice surprise. Molding should have been angled at joints, but otherwise good. Tile floor in bathroom was a bit sloppy (by a different installer)."

The service provided was far more than just carpentry repair of hanging new doors, bifolds and trim through the house, the job included painting the interior, seal painting the floors and installing carpet through the upper floor and stairs, cleaning out and regrouting the lower floor tile then sealing, installing new sheetrock, texture to match, installing new toilets and correcting plumbing leaks, insatlling new lights fixtures and correct improperly wired outlets, cleaned the gutters, repaired damged exterior siding, landscape maintenance the entire yard. "My wife and I highly recommend Modern Flooring Services. We had 450 square feet of an irregular shaped floor covered with carpet upstairs that we wanted to replace with wood flooring. Modern Flooring Services provided a contractor to provide an initial estimate and a list of supplies needed to purchase. Then they sent a consummate professional and craftsman to install our floor. His name was Patrick, and he started by explaining what we should expect when he removed the carpet, prepared the subfloor, and then installed the wood. He provided different options for how the wood could be angled based on the floor layout. Then he went to work, and we can’t praise his work ethic enough. He is one of the hardest workers I know. He also did a great job of minimizing the dust. If we opt to install new flooring in the future, we will definitely hire Modern Flooring and request Patrick to install the floor."

There was sand grit exposed in the finish glaze and the edges were wider in some spots that others which, he told me, would effect the uniformity of the grout lines.
