"Our project was actually a crawlspace encapsulation. We have a lake cabin that was built in the 1960's. It had a dirt floor in the crawlspace with bare block masonry foundation walls. It also had old, damp batt insulation that was falling down from the joist spaces. American Waterworks came in, removed the old insulation (a nasty job!), laid down a 2 layer moisture barrier system and spray foamed the foundation walls and rim joist area. For cheapskates like me, they offer a coupon for A List members. If you make an appointment to bring the car to their shop at 8AM, before the technician leaves on his rounds, they do it for $40. It takes about 15 minutes. Great deal for me ($20 savings) and it saves them at least that on travel. Win, win. Needless to say, I've saved way over $40 on glass coverage over the years.
Results vary depending on the nature of the chip, but mine is virtually invisible. Best of all, they replace your windshield for free if the chip spreads into a crack, which is very unlikely because the resin is at least as strong as the original glass.
