"Tom Mullaney and his team at Wire Works Inc. are top notch. Very professional, responsive, and reasonably priced. Wire Works most recently assisted as with all our electrical needs for a complete kitchen remodel - new outlets, switches, can lights, pendant lights, stove hookup, etc. When the team wasn't able to complete all tasks on the scheduled day for our rough electrical, they found a way to squeeze us back into the schedule so our kitchen remodel could stay on schedule. Tom Mullaney is one of the nicest people you'll meet, and provides an outstanding service. I won't use anyone else."

"We were very pleased with the quality and service we received. We hired Kevin to wire our new construction house project in 2018. We later had him back to install a 12KW solar panel system and an EV charging station in 2021. I highly recommend Kwaske Electric."

"I hired Derek and his colleague to wire up our new hot tub. He was excellent at communicating and providing an estimate before work was started. The quality of work he provided exceeded my expectations. Everything was done neatly, to code, and did not leave a mess at my house. A sprinkler line was damaged during trenching, since we didn't know it was there, and he made the repairs with no questions asked. I would definitely hire him or recommend for electrical work. "I thought my ceiling fan was leaking air. Bruton Electric advised not to replace and who to call for the work I needed. It's not an electrical job after all.He was so helpful I will hire in the future if I need it. The guy shared an amazing amount of knowledge with us. Truly never had such a good experience with a free quote. I am going to tell EVERYONE he's the guy to hire!"

"I’m very happy with the work of James Electric. I needed to have an EV charger installed. I was able to discuss the project with them (location, model, charger ratings, etc.). They offered opinions, but it was always my decision. I ended up with my Emportia charger mounted exactly where I wanted on the house. In the process, they also cleaned up several ugly circuits in the breaker box. The job was done quickly and efficiently, during some of the coldest weather we’ve experienced this winter. I would definitely recommend James Electric for future electrical work, especially installing EV chargers."

"I recently hired AAB Electric for some electrical work, and I am extremely pleased with the results. They installed recessed lights and ceiling fans in my home, and the entire process went smoothly. The team was timely, arriving right on schedule, and very friendly, making the experience even better. The installation was done to my complete satisfaction, and everything looks and works perfectly. I will definitely be using their services again in the future and highly recommend them for any electrical work."

In some states and municipalities, licensed and registered handypersons can change a light fixture and do minor electrical work. However, you should check with your state and local licensing boards before hiring a local handyperson. In most cases, it’s safer and more practical to hire an electrician for this job. It may cost more, but hiring a licensed electrician means they’ll get the work done to code.
Special light fixtures, known as damp-rated light fixtures, are recommended in bathrooms, particularly if they're near damp areas like showers and over the bathtub. However, in most locations, they’re not a strict requirement. For safety and longevity, damp-rated fixtures are a better choice. If you work with a lighting contractor in your area, they may be able to recommend the right kinds of fixtures for your space.
Yes, it’s possible to run a second light fixture to a switch, meaning the light switch would control more than one light fixture. Several factors can impact whether it’s possible and how much it will cost. In many cases, it may be easier and more affordable for the contractor to install independent light switches. Talk to your electrician about your idea to get their feedback.
