I had a circuit in the kitchen that was not getting any power even though the breaker in the main panel wasn't tripped so randomly picked LSVG Electrics for their assistance. Lou came out exactly at the time he said he would and quickly diagnosed the problem to be a burnt wire in a J-box in the basement and repaired it. "Nelson Electric is the best electrical contractor I’ve used in my thirty-eight years of owning and updating my homes. It is difficult to find an excellent contractor who is willing to take on a major remodeling project in old construction, and who handles it efficiently, cost-effectively, and with perfection. This time we were remodeling a 110 year-old bathroom. When we got down to the studs, joists, and rafters, the plans were worthless because of all the surprises. Unphased, the crew was able to trace every hidden wire to destination and source, re-route them as needed, install a new, larger, circuit breaker box, pull wire through neatly, clearly identify and label everything, and finish beautifully the lighting, overhead heating, floor heating, and exhaust fixtures, making for a beautiful bath. "Mr. Craig Durgan is the handyman that owns and operates this business. He is a versatile handyman with many valuable skills. He is a particularly talented carpenter and plumber. We’d recommend him for plumbing, electrical and carpentry jobs. But we cannot recommend him for painting projects. We hired him to repaint the largest, most important area of our home, and to change the existing medium-dark color to a very light color. The first step of any professional painting procedure is to begin with a base coat of primer. However, Mr. Durgan completely skipped that step, so the new paint that he applied did not adhere evenly. The newly-painted walls are now extremely glossy and have an unpleasant mottled look. More coats of paint will not solve this problem because a base coat of primer was not applied in the first place. The job was rushed and the end result looks amateurish to our great disappointment. We’ve had excellent experiences with Mr. Durgan’s carpentry and electrical and plumbing work in the past, but his painting work failed to live up to the standards that we’d come to expect."
