Over the years our grout had turned almost black with ground in dirt. It has now been restored to its original color! I waited this long to write this review to make sure this was not a temporary fix. Happily it was not. The technicians were responsive and friendly and it was obvious from the start that satisfying their customers was of utmost importance to them. Great experience. "We are very pleased with Classic Granite & Marble - professional from start to finish.  We were looking to replace our existing island countertop with a new granite countertop.  We visited the showrooms and warehouses of 5 granite businesses in the area and chose Classic Granite as they had a large selection of granite slabs and had very good reviews on Angie?s list.  We walked through the warehouse to see the slabs, all marked as to price grade.  Once we made our selection, we were shown three different slabs of that stone to choose from.  We were then able to specify which corner of that slab would be ours and then the stone was tagged for us. Rosa, our salesperson, worked with us to finalize the purchase, including an undermounted sink, and scheduled measurement and installation dates.  Eric arrived at our home just a week or so after that and made his measurements with lasers and a laptop.  A few days later we received an email with the cutout drawing and then a second email with a photo of the actual stone showing where it would be cut and where the sink cutout would be.  I really liked that as we wanted the sink in a particular spot on the granite to preserve some of the beautiful lines in the stone.  Once we approved the drawing, the stone was cut that day so installation could be done as scheduled the following week.  The two man installation team headed by Carlos was very professional and careful with our cabinets.  They covered the floor with protective sheets and worked carefully to remove the old granite countertop that had been glued in more places than they expected.  Once removed, they brought in the new countertop (beautiful!), placed it correctly and mounted the sink under the granite.  They cleaned the slab, sealed it and picked up all the protective coverings.    We were impressed with how careful they were, and there was not any damage to our cabinets or floors. <br /> We highly recommend Classic Granite & Marble.  They had a great selection, knowledgeable personnel, and delivered on time with a beautiful product.  We couldn?t be happier. <br />"

"Working with Washington Marble & Granite could not have gone any better than it did!  The people are the utmost in service-oriented and provide the best product, even if it means that the marble or granite has to be purchased from another vendor; if they don't currently have in stock the stone that you are looking for, they will effortlessly direct you to another local supplier that does have that particular stone.  We have used WM&G for 4 other jobs at our home over the past 12 years and each time they did excellent work however, with this master bathroom remodel, we had so many problems with the contractor that we had hired (IP Construction) that Ron Ganassa literally turned what had been a disasterous situation into a most spectacular bathroom.  We cannot recommend  WG&M HIGHLY ENOUGH!"

"Mark and his team were spectacular! I have a large kitchen that needed over 200 square feet of granite replaced. Mark is a seasoned professional. He thoroughly explained the pros and cons of the many choices in countertop materials. Once we selected our granite, his artistry began. He utilized the slabs cleverly and designed lovely patterns to show off the unidue flow of the granite. The seams are impeccable. He and his team are extremely thorough, detailed and pleasant! I'm thrilled with the results and consider this project the easiest thing I've done all year! I highly recommend this top notch company!"

"Frank Brennan and his crew did an outstanding job tiling our patio--removing old tile, putting a state-of-the-art foundation under the tile, and extending the tile to flower beds. We had the patio tiled 4 years ago, when we moved to our Old Town Alexandria home. Yet the tiles they chose were not frost resistant and the concrete foundation they put under was not sufficiently water proof. The entire surface cracked and broke into pieces two years later. FBT's expertise and professionalism were unparalleled. They diagnosed the problem, explained their process and plan for remedying the problems; helped us select the right tiles and worked patiently and meticulously for over a week to make sure the underlying foundation was solid, study water drainage, take measurements to ensure precision in tile placement, etc. They even noticed rotten boards on the side of the house and replaced the two bottom boards with tiles, creating a smooth transition and clean look. The results are absolutely amazing. I also loved it that they managed the process from A to Z. For example, they have a vendor network of close partners they have worked with for year Through this network, they secured financing for us; set us up with a wonderful interior designer who helped us select tiles; and a tile distributor; and handled all transactions with them so that we had a seamless, one-stop shopping experience. The quality of their work was outstanding. They sent two workers, who were employees rather than subcontractors; and a project manager who monitored their work and ensured its quality. They were meticulous, patient, attentive to every small detail and knowledgeable. For example, in addition to concrete, they used a layer of of DITRA under the tiles, specifically designed to allow the installation of ceramic and stone tile over any even and load-bearing substrate and increase water-proofing capabilities. Frank, the owner, was delightful to work with, highly professional and extremely responsive. We plan to work with FBT Tile & Marble in the near future and wholeheartedly recommend them."

"We searched for a number of countertop providers in the Manassas/Gainesville area, and settled on Discover for both price and the style of granite we liked. Discover worked with us to lay out the counters on the granite slab that we picked, and matched the backsplash to look continuous with the countertop. Their recommendation on where to split the countertop work well,and they threw in a polished cutting board from the extra granite. Installation went well except for damage to the linoleum floor when they moved the refrigerator. This was ok since we had planned to replace the floor anyway, and it made my wife happy to move up that replacement. <br />"

"Jamal was very punctual, explained the process, answered all of my questions, etc. When I inquired about non-trivial stain removal, he placed a call to the home office for clarification. I was concerned that he was not equipped to remove deep stains that day, and that sealing the counter might make them more challenging to remove later. Fortunately, that turned out to not be the case. <br /> He worked very efficiently and completed the job in about 45 minutes. The granite was gleaming when he finished, with the only imperfections being some olive oil stains that were a bit too embedded to be removed by the basic cleaning process. I'll deal with those later. <br />"
