Organic Soil Solutions was started by Boston Tree Preservation when they noticed the trees and shrubs on properties treated with lawn chemicals were less healthy than others. I hired the company to take care of the trees where I worked and the lawn at my house. When my wife and I were looking for a small business, we naturally gravitated toward organics, an interest we had shared for years in food and gardening. I ended up working for Boston Tree Preservation and managing Soil Solutions. In 2003, we bought the organic lawn care company. "Intermittent responsiveness to emails and phone calls. His topsoil compost treatment included numerous pieces of shells. I’ve also found small pieces of metal in our yard as well. He did offer to come rake the yard from it but some of these pieces are too small to rake and ultimately there is no other solution proposed. The prices are definitely much higher than other folks probably due to the organic nature of things but I have to say after a year of this service by lawn does not look any better if not worse. When I mentioned that I wanted to cancel service there is no concern about keeping us as a customer or customer service. Either he’s too busy and has too many customers or doesn’t care about keeping customers around."

"Great after talking to Mr Collins he suggested it was a GFI outlet issue. I didn't think there were any in the basement of my 100 yo house. He said he's come out after work. After we hung up I started checking and sure enough the whole string of outlets is on a several GFIs. I never noticed they were GFIs because they are all beige instead of red/black like the others. This call saved me a lot time and money. I've waited 4 weeks for an appt from another company. Guess from now on I'll now be using Collins Electric!"
