"Beantown was great to work with. They are responsive, polite, organized, neat, and they do great work. After dropping off the dumpster, they replaced the roof on my Dutch Colonial house in one day. After the roof was finished two other teams came in to replace all of the siding and rebuild the front portico and side deck and also add a deck extension. "The experience was very stressful. The siding crew was very rough on our 1774 home. They damaged portions of the trim, a window, and the metal roof. I had to constantly monitor the crew to make sure they minimized damage and completed the work correctly. It was difficult communicating with the Spanish-speaking crew. Materials are in my yard that still have not been picked up 2 weeks later. The finished siding looks good, but that is the best complement I can make. I had doors replaced by Power on a previous job and was very satisfied. I would be cautious recommending Power for siding replacement on a similar old house."

"Replacing a roof is not cheap - and it’s not exactly the most fun thing to throw a lot of money at (versus, say, a new bathroom) . AEM (Kevin B. in particular) made this not only painless, but even pleasant. We got three bids - Kevin B. from AEM was the only one that bothered to actually visit our house, meet with us and explain the process. The other bids were just emailed in, apparently using some imaging system that let them measure our rooftop. AEMs bid was not the cheapest of the three, but it was absolutely competitive with the other two - and, because of Kevin’s walking us through the process, we felt much more comfortable having them do the project. Communication as we were getting closer to the day was very good (I work at home - so I knew I’d have to take the day off given the noise). There were a few unavoidable weather delays - Kevin always kept me informed. On the actual day, the team was here early - as was Kevin - and the whole process was done in a day. Something really cool - they had to get into our yard through our neighbor’s back yard (with his permission, of course!) - as a gesture, they raked his leaves! They also cleaned our gutters while they were up there doing the roof. After the fact, the cleanup was perfect - our back yard was spotless! Kevin and his colleague also did some great work repairing our soffits. Anyhow - I don’t think we can recommend AEM highly enough - they care for their customers - and made this as painless as possible. We are very happy with the results. Thanks Kevin and team!"

"Everyone we dealt with was very nice. The painters arrived on time and were hard workers. The quote was to power wash, prime (with a heavy duty Mad Dog primer) and apply two coats of paint, however, I believe only one coat of paint was applied. I brought this up with the owner and the workers insist they put on two coats of paint, but some of the original paint showed through in spots. This means they would have had to miss the same spots each time they applied a coat of paint. The trim and siding they replaced was done well. This work was done in September of 2015 and I was assured the paint would last at least a few years. They told me the Mad Dog primer would take care of any problem areas. Unfortunately, the paint is already peeling in some areas. I sent multiple emails to the company over the past two weeks and left a voice mail. I have yet to be contacted by anyone. This is very disappointing."
