"I contacted Mike online through Angi, and he responded by phone almost immediately. I had a small patch where a shingle had blown off of my 20 year old roof. He came out the next day, inspected the roof and gutters, and explained what needed to be done. He assured me the roof itself is sturdy and in good condition, but some of the asphalt shingles were pulling away from the roof, making it ripe for more damage. He suggested that they re-nail/seal the shingles wherever it was needed, completely seal the seams around chimney, vents, fans, etc., and clean out the gutters (some of which had vegetation growing). We agreed on a reasonable price, which included a one year warranty. He came the next morning with a sizable crew who completed the agreed upon work on the house and garage in about an hour. They were careful to clean up and dispose of any debris that resulted. I would definitely use Gemini Roofing again. Thorough, efficient, pleasant and easy to work with. Thanks Mike!"

"I have a 100 year old house with a very steeply peaked roofline - hard to work on. Fascia and shingles blew off during a recent storm. Rudy & his son came out and inspected the roof and quoted the repairs, which included finding older shingles which are not currently readily on the market. Although the roof is older, and the shingles beginning to become brittle, for personal reasons, I am not presently in a position to replace the roof, and they agreed to perform maintenance, replacing missing shingles, fascia etc. for the time being. They were happy to help me out, not only replaced the fascia that blew off, but also added some to my garage. During the repair, they brought down samples of my older shingles, and discussed with me the aging factors that were present in my existing roof, advising me that they DO recommend a roof replacement within a year or two. I will definitely reach out in a year or so, once present circumstances are behind me."

When deciding on the best shingle color, make sure you first see the big samples in person. I almost ended up with a "blue" roof even though the color I had originally picked was gray. "Hired Last Stop Roofing to complete a roof job started but not completed by home owners. All materials provided. Last Stop Roofing provided the labor and expertise to complete the job. Job entailed replacing rotted plywood under shingles, repairing rotted truss ends and replacing rotted facia boards in addition to putting down materials and shingles to complete the job. Price was reasonable. Workers were experienced and efficient. Customer service was great. Highly recommend this company."

"Initially, I thought it was fine. However, I was very curious why the contractor would not let me talk to the insurance adjuster. He told me to stay in the house and leave everything to him. (RED FLAG) I'm not sure why I let that happen. After the negotiations and the contract was signed, the contractor advised that he failed to charge me for the cost of the chimney. We specifically talked about the chimney cost and how he wasn't putting it in the contract so it wouldn't alert the insurance company (RED FLAG ) He would just charge me another $1200 for the chimney or not do the inside work. At that point, I should have cancelled the contract. The contractor yelled at me that he forgot and he made a mistake. Yelled at me in a very loud voice. He then did that "used car" sales pitch where he has to go talk to his boss and then comes back and sends me an email that they will fix the chimney for free. I spent about twice what my budget was, and I really am mad at myself for failing to get other estimates. That is on me. The roofers put a new roof on - my old roof was less than 5 years old - not sure if a simple repair would have been okay and left a mess in my yard. There was debris from my gutters and little blue things that they use when they replace a roof. I told the contractor that, and he said "the roofers don't make money if they clean up after the gutters and feel it's not their job". Okay, whose job is it? Who did I pay to do a job? Am i supposed to hire someone else to finish up what the roofers left behind. My pet peeve is when I pay someone to do a job, and they don't finish the job and say it's not their job. That makes me so angry. Again, I'm so mad at myself. I know better. I just felt like at the end of the day I was taken advantage of. I don't think I needed a whole new roof, I spent twice the money I had budgeted, and I had a mess to take care of. I use Angie's List so I can avoid being taken advantage of and considered the "old lady" who doesn't know anything."
