"Great people, easy to work with and go the extra mile. I was having a surprise party and wanted my yard done a day early. I called jared and asked if he could help out (even though it wasn’t my scheduled day) they showed up within the hour. I’ve recommended to all of my friends and family."

"I am very pleased They were friendly and professional, came when they said they would, and did the job as they said they would. The tree and debris were all removed, and at a reasonable cost. I would definitely hire them again."

"We would highly recommend Crossroads Landscaping. From start to finish, Travis was very responsive and punctual. Travis and team did excellent work on time and with no issues. He kept in close touch with us during the landscaping project, answered any questions we had and adjusted his plan as the project progressed if we decided we wanted to add something to the project. He started and finished the job in the timeframe he set for us. He and his staff were friendly, efficient and the final product was fabulous. We would definitely use him again!"

"The initial start date was delayed by a couple of weeks since he was backlogged.  They did a good job of removing the old landscaping and overgrown ivy.  The stone walls were well done and the work went fairly well.  There were a few problems with broken irrigation pipes and cut wires but all those issues were taken care and were back to working well.  There was also a broken shutter that took over 4 weeks to get replaced but that was also taken care of.
The real issue I had was with the original quote and price that I agreed too.  I was offered to reduce the quoted price by $250, which I agreed to but there was no mention of reducing the number of plants in the landscape design.  When I went over the list of plants on my design with the final job, there were 4 plants that were missing and Billy stated that those had been removed from the original design which added up to the $250.  I told him that I had no idea that the plants were removed, there was no update to the landscape plans to indicate the removal.  He offered to add the plants for an additional charge which I declined.  I told him that I was not pleased with this surprise and he apologized for the issue but could not add the plants at no charge.
I know he had a lot of issues with his staff and salesman but I cannot recommend him based on my experience.

FAQs for outdoor lighting plan and installation projects in Advance, NC

Permit requirements for outdoor lighting vary depending on your location and project scope. Simple fixture replacements don't require permits, but projects involving new electrical circuits, extensive trenching, or significant system expansions often do. Local building departments establish these requirements, and many professional electricians handle permit applications as part of their service package.

The timeline for outdoor lighting installation varies based on project complexity. Basic systems might require only one to two days for complete installation, while extensive lighting networks with numerous fixtures and complex wiring needs could extend to a week or longer. Weather conditions, property accessibility, and soil characteristics can all influence how quickly professionals can complete your installation.

Outdoor lighting offers both practical and aesthetic benefits that many homeowners find valuable. Beyond enhancing nighttime visibility and security, well-designed lighting can highlight architectural features and extend outdoor living hours. While installation represents a significant investment, quality lighting may potentially increase property appeal and could contribute to overall home value.

Some outdoor lighting projects are suitable for homeowner installation, particularly simple solar fixtures or low-voltage systems that plug into existing outlets. However, projects requiring new electrical connections, permanent wiring, or integration with home electrical systems demand professional expertise. Electrical work carries inherent safety risks, and improper installation could create fire hazards or code violations.

The operating cost for outdoor lighting depends primarily on your fixture types, bulb selection, and usage patterns. Energy-efficient LED fixtures consume significantly less electricity than traditional incandescent or halogen alternatives. Controlling your lighting with timers, photocells, or motion sensors can further reduce energy usage by ensuring lights operate only when needed or beneficial.
