From the beginning, they were communicative, responsive, and professional, which made me feel confident that they would be easy to work with. Once the project was started, we had a few unexpected snow storms with some pretty frigid days. Nevertheless, the crew still showed up promptly each day, working diligently in the cold weather for the full day, which goes to show you how hard-working and dedicated these guys were! They were also very detail-oriented and gave good design suggestions to help improve the overall look of the deck. In the end, we were thrilled with how everything turned out! "Jim is wonderful — one of the best around Saratoga Springs. He created our dream kitchen in about 8 weeks; this was a complete remodel — demo, electrical, plumbing, cabinet/appliance install, flooring, backsplash, crown molding, and a brand new pantry he built himself. During that time, he also made a spacious closet for our upstairs guest bedroom. Always on time, incredibly reliable, communicative, and trustworthy — not to mention meticulously clean. Already have plans to hire Jim again!"

"Brian was terrific. Summer is a busy time for carpenters, and I put in calls to a number of businesses, not all of whom responded within two weeks, or at all. Brian returned my call on the same day, came out within two days, and had an estimate ready to go almost immediately. He came to do the job exactly when he said he would, which was great. I could not be any happier with his work. He added an additional tread, which makes the steps safer, and also built the treads in such a way that rainwater would drain without pooling or rotting the wood. He matched the sides of the steps with the extant wood design, and added high quality decorative railings, which blend with the rest of the railings on the porch. And then I discovered that he'd noticed that I run my hose under the porch steps to the yard, so he carved out a very discreet spot for me to thread the hose through the back of the steps. His work had the effect of making the whole front of the house look much better. I've always been a believer in thoroughly researching home improvement projects and getting a minimum of four estimates, but now I'd never hire any company but this one for carpentry."

"Joe and his crew showed up on time and demoed our oversized 2 car garage and removed 2 dumpsters of debris. They returned the next day to remove the foundation and slab, witch required another dumpster. They also brought in multiple loads of fill, topsoil, and decorative stone to landscape the yard. They also laid 1500 square feet of sod and built us a new storage shed. We are very happy with all of the work completed and plan to use Excellent Exteriors for future projects."

"The fellow was very pleasant and did a good job of explaining what he saw in the way of issues related to ice dam formation, using his tablet with which he's taken photos of the problematic roof areas. He caulked around loose flashing and my skylights and checked the condition of my shingles.  The ice dam issue was related to the roof structure.  The contractor proposed a solution which would cost about $2000 (for 2-3 square feet of work), which I declined to pursue, as it would affect the appearance of the home and was very costly. <br />"

"We were relocated to this area. For the features that were included with no additonal charges we are happy with the quality of workmanship thru this house. We even had problems with water seeping into our basement and they made it right and no additional leaking has occured since their solution. Any time I have contacted their office for additional information I have been treated professionally. This builder cares about the quality of his work and it shows. I am glad to have an Abele built home. The length of time to develop a solution for the water seepage is why I scored a B on responsiveness. As far as phone promptness etc they are great."

"I got them from Angie's List. The original price was $14000. The guy who is Davis Builders; his name is Ken Hayner. He has been very easy to work with. He has done an excellent job so far. I think we will finish up in the same way that has been there all along. He is very adaptable. There have been a couple of things that have come up during the process that were unanticipated. We are real happy with them. With regard to price, it was very competitive priced in the beginning and we worked out some things with our providing all the major materials, fixtures and things like that which made it even more reasonable. I would definitely use them again in the future."
