"After the inspection was performed, Vernon, call me right away. He informed me of the extent of the foundation damage , and what was the root cause of it. The house was recently flipped, and his photos showed the poor quality of workmanship by the company, heat ducting smashed closed, no pads for blocking if the floor beams, a portion of the crawl space was so narrow, it would only be able to be accessed from the top side.He also provided me with a verbal ball park estamate on what it would take to correct these problems."

"The whole process was great! The job I had the bros do was pretty challenging in that we wanted to save a 30+ year existing wisteria that had grown in and around the former trellis. We had the bros demo the existing structure and weld a new steel trellis in it's place. They did a great job and saved the wisteria! The vine is growing nicely around the new structure and am confident the steel structure the bros built will last forever. Very professional, friendly, hard-working, and skilled. I highly recommend using the O'Connor Bros for your design/build needs."

"This was a large remodel for a 30-year old home.  Rick and Mike did excellent work, consulted on all options, subcontracted for electrical and plumbing.  They were very conscientious, making sure the work met our expectations.  They helped us work around unexpected issues.  They were always professional, polite, and pleasant to have around.  They worked hard to minimize the impact on our family and keep the construction zone neat.  The final result is spectacular! <br />"

"Work was finished one day earlier than promised due to his attention to a wind advisory. He did have to come back after the windy day and finish the last row that wouldn't have dried or set right (I forget) if he put it up on Wednesday. They came without calling and finished their work in a very short time. They worked efficiently, professionally and the work stayed on budget. I wanted the fence only on my property so J.J. made sure of that after I had a survey done and we knew where the fence should be. The fence is beautiful and I have not had a problem with it. The high winds did come on that Thursday but the fence was already up and it stood up to the winds as if there was no wind at all. I am very happy with the work done and hope his company will work on many more projects with me in the future."

"I really liked that as soon as we got the idea that it was urgent to rip up the concrete, he came the next day, and jack hammered it all up, even though I couldn't give them a timeline as to when to repour it. We had some plumbing under it, that we had to get fixed first. I was so happy and impressed, the way he jumped on getting it ripped out so that we could continue on that path. The job that he did was excellent, they charged me for a whole kind of concrete, and they ended up doing another patch. The whole job was beautiful."

"Hands-down... they had the job. They gave us references.. and we talked with their previous clients. Everyone we talked with gave us the same favorable reviews and we liked the previous work they had done. As far as the "actual" work? They came when they said they would. They kept in communication with us...They did what they said they would do... in-fact... they AND their crew Went the Extra Miles and completed ALL the work within our agreed upon schedule.. within budget... and did an EXCELLENT job!! FAQs for concrete foundation repair projects in Albuquerque, NM

Visible cracks, water leaks, uneven floors, or walls that won’t line up are classic red flags. You might also notice sticking windows, doors that no longer latch, or exterior cracks crawling up brick or siding. Even a damp, musty basement can hint at trouble. If you spot any of these, call a foundation pro right away. Early inspections cost far less than waiting until the damage threatens your home’s stability.

Yes, foundation problems impact your home’s value. Buyers want proof that the foundation is stable, and a recent, professional repair can actually boost confidence in your home. You’ll need to disclose the work, but documentation showing the structure was properly stabilized, especially with piers in regions known for shifting soil, often reads as a plus, not a problem. Skipping repairs, on the other hand, can cut your sale price and shrink the pool of interested buyers. Taking care of the issue protects both value and peace of mind.

Foundations are engineered for exceptional longevity when constructed correctly and maintained diligently. Concrete slab foundations remain structurally sound for 200 years, while other foundation types deliver integrity between 75 and 100 years. Regular professional inspections and timely maintenance further secure a foundation’s lifespan and ensure your home stays safe over the long term.
