" Chris installed our sprinkler system in 2008. We have over 2/3 acre and Chris immediately knew we needed two main control boxes with 9 stations per box. He knows what he is doing, keeps up with the newest advancements, VERY professional with reasonable quotes, gives options, and lives out his faith by doing his best in EVERY aspect of his business. Having used Chris over 17 years now, we can assure you he is incredibly trustworthy, honest, & dependable. In addition, he actually LISTENS to his customers. We have used him for general repairs, both small and big, on the system. He is ALWAYS punctual and has a smile on his face, even when presented with a challenge. We HIGHLY recommend Chris!!! You won't be disappointed!!! "

"I was in panic mode! Just spent $$$$ to have new St. Augustine sod planted in the many bare areas in my lawn. The landscaper advised me to water the lawn three times per week. When the sprinklers ran the first time, one zone stopped early, another zone did not run at all and yet another zone would not stop running until the controller was unplugged. In addition, several sprinklers were not operating properly, and some sprinklers had been improperly covered by new sod pieces. After some quick research on Angi, I called Moore Sprinkler Company. They made a special effort to get to my yard that same day, and their team of two technicians spent 1.25 hours locating all of the problems and correcting them with adjustments and new parts. The entire sprinkler system is now working great! I will certainly call Moore again for sprinkler system maintenance and repairs."

"Jorge came out and diagnosed a short cut my previous company, that had expanded my system, had done that limited the amount of water my yard was getting. He corrected the issue and now my system is working EXACTLY the way I need it to!"

"We have used Complete Tree Services in the past and have been very pleased. It took a whole day to complete the work. In the process of grinding the stump a sprinkler head was destroyed. Complete Tree returned in a couple of days and repaired the damaged sprinkler head. Their work is top-notch."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Allen, TX

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
