"Jeremy is the Supervisor and worked with 2 other men to complete the job. It was all clockwork precision and everyone know exactly what to do. First, they edged all along my 300' driveway that ends in a circle around the front of the house. That was alot of edging, but necessary to expose the side angles of the driveway for sealcoating. Then the loose sod was removed and followed by a blower cleanup. Brick pavers were protected, wire brushing was used when necessary, previous and new cracks were heated and then refilled. Finally, the entire driveway was sealed with brushed on asphalt emulsion. The driveway looks fantastic. <br /> This company did a great job last year, and a great job this year. Don't hesitate to call them. <br />"

"Over the last decade we have have requested quotations and issued purchase orders to various asphalt paving contractors, and King Kurb been the best performer for driveways, parking lots, and small roadways. Depending upon what is needed, they do remove & replace, capping, and sawcut & repair, including drains. They also do striping. The work itself if first-rate, and the outfit is knowledgeable, and is happy to discuss various options that might be considered, communicating well, and doing the work as promised, weather-permitting. The costs of projects vary because the size and nature of projects vary, but they are reasonable for the specific work being done."

"Wow! Truly. From estimate with Billy to questions with Brenda at the office and delivery with Mason and his crew, fabulous. Extremely reasonable pricing and most importantly, they did what they said they were going to do, when they said they would do it - invaluable these days. Service was efficient and final product, beautiful - our driveway was a mess. Mason achieved the perfect angle, and we no longer have sitting water/flooding at the base of our drive. Everything is sealed and looks brand new. I also noticed the owner (presumably) came to check out the work which I appreciate. Overall, an extremely knowledgeable, friendly crew that I would recommend without hesitation."

"depends who you ask, 1st person I talked to upon estimate said they could smooth the area where the driveway meets the road at no extra charge and the 2nd person I talked to said it would be an extra charge with different trucks. The coating applied is so thin that I can still see all the tiny hairline cracks that were there before. I filled the larger cracks a few days before coating with an asphalt rope that you melt with a torch but they want to send a different crew out to fix larger gaps than what their thin coating will accomplish, just seems incomplete!"

"I am so impressed! I own a house in a large development in Boynton Beach. I have lived there for over 15 years and the driveway needed a makeover. I contacted Exotic through Angie's List and Marc responded immediately. Marc reviewed my request, went to my house to inspect, quoted the cost and estimated time upon the first consultation. My HOA is very strict on work done in the neighborhood, and the crew was very clean and neat while also working in a timely fashion. Marc chose the most beautiful pattern for my driveway and now my neighbors all stop and look at the new work done. I am going to refer Exotic to anyone that needs any paving job. Next will be my pool deck in the near future."

"Generally, they job they did was fine but there was a problem with the interface between front of garage concrete extension and the asphalt. I told the owner this and he said he'd come back at end of season and seal the interface. The reason for the problem was that they did not pack in the dirt prior to paving leaving an air hole that broke the interface. I called a couple of times but Mr. Jones never called and it seemed that he could care less as he had "moved on". <br /> <br />"

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Allen Park, MI

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
