We offer a suite of tree, shrub, lawn and deer deterrent services to help maintain the health and vigor of residential and commercial properties. Our team of arborists specializes in tree, shrub and lawn conditions specific to the Bucks County area. Our services do not include lawn mowing or tree planting.

"They are okay. They are a big national company. There are so many local people, I'd rather use local people to do that. I ended up finding an arborist who is a nephew of a friend and now I have them do the big work. I will say that what I did love about Davey was their automatic plan that you just signed up for the year and they come and take care of all your trees. So that automation was really good. It was a little expensive but I did think the arborist that they sent out in the beginning was really professional. It is just that 90% of the time the guys that came to the house had no idea. Their big plan was really good, like if you have a big lot and a lot of immature trees, I thought it was a good plan. What happened was I had a service with another company and Davey Tree bought them. I used them for maybe a couple of years and  thought it was good but then...it was one of those things like they send out a bill like, oh we'll take care of your trees for $500 or $600 a year. I was like, oh does it really cost that much. And some of the things like deep root watering, we just realized it is so much cheaper to do that yourself and it doesn't take that much expertise. And really all it takes is one tool from Home Depot to do that. But for like the aspen, we got that aspen thing...they came out and sprayed them. I do think that that helped and I might call them again if I see some more of that on my aspens. I thought they handled that really well. For their regular visit, they come every few months is like $70 or something.  My issue was not price, my issue was trying to hire people we know. I thought they were super professional, The system worked really good. They have a billing system that worked great and the fact that they just show up and do work. And I even thought that they wanted to do the year service in advance and they give you a discount or you could do 6 months. All those things I really like because even with the lawn service that I hire intermittently, I've to call them up and say, okay here is what I want, can you do this for me. Davey Tree Service is really good if you are the kind of home owner who just doesn't want to deal with your yard and these are your tree guys and then you have your landscaping guys. I would probably use them in the future if I needed it."

"The team at The Sod Guy were top notch.  From the office staff to the sod layers, all were professional.  The crew arrived as scheduled and performed the work in a flawless manner.  All areas were cleaned afterwards and the sod has taken very well.  Even after just a couple weeks, it hard to find sod seams and it looks like an established lawn that has been in place for a long period of time.  I would highly recommend them! <br />"

Both the lawn service people and the tree inspector called before coming out as requested so that I could let them into the backyard, and both were on time as promised. The lawn service tech explained what they were going to do, what results I could expect, and was very polite and quick. "I am an annual customer. They come out 6 to 7 times during the course of the year to treat and fertilize my lawn. They are very responsive. In the past I have called them with various problems from bare spots in my lawn to weeds which pop into my sprinkler system. They send somebody out to meet me, consult me and take care of any of my needs. They have been fantastic. I have used them on two different properties over the last two years. I spent $150 the last time I used them. I will use this company in the future."

"Big Mistake!They assured us that they would pull a permit (for which they charged us) but never did, they did demolition on a Monday, and did not pour until the following Monday, stating they had no access to concrete.When the bid was given, we were told it would be a two day process, demo and pour. Not at all the case. Also, had much difficulty in having them move two sprinkler heads for landscaping that we were to do. The technicians were too busy having a chat session with each other and therefore it took well over two hours for a job that they bid out at 1 hour. And then, didn't even complete the entire project.Made several calls, emails etc to the company expressing our concerns and wanting either a permit or reimbursement thereof and were never called back or given any type of assistance with our concerns."

"From my first phone call until the crew cleaned up and left my experience with Jand J was top notch. They sent someone out to my house to put together an estimate within a day or two of first contact. Brian came out and walked our entire property. He made a number of suggestions and explained what was going on with certain trees. He was very knowledgeable and it was clear his goal was to educate the customer so that they could make an informed decision. He wrote up an itemized bid, which made it very easy to budget.We had a few other companies come out and bid as well. The prices were all comparable, but we went with Jand J because they went the extra mile in terms of customer service and making sure we understood what our options were and why those were our options.When I called the office to set up a time to come out Lynn was very nice, as usual. She said they were about two weeks out, which was fine with us. I was a little surprised the following day when John called me and asked if they could come out in the morning. From two weeks to two days is quite nice. We were glad they could fit us in so soon and were told they would arrive at our house at 7:30am.The next morning the crew arrived slightly before 7:30 and set to work. They took down a large pine tree on one side of our house, and two pine trees on the other side. They also thinned out a spruce tree in our back yard. The spruce looked SO much better after the trimming it was almost unbelievable. The crew not only worked fast (they were done with everything by 11:30am) but they actually did more work than what was on the original bid. The large pine was in a grove of other trees so a stump grind wasn't necessary, but they did it any way. I had also cut down another bush and a small tree prior to them coming and the pieces of these were stacked on the side of the house. They ground up all this unwanted wood and even ground the stump of the bush, which was a total bonus.There was only one tree on the original bid that we elected not to remove because we wanted it for the rest of the summer to shade our grass. John came out to the site and told me that if we wanted to take it down in the winter he'd reduce the price, which was awesome and something we are likely to take him up on once the weather cools.Overall, the office staff was great, the crew worked fast, were punctual, and courteous, and I felt like I got a very good value for the money we spent."
