"David did an amazing job installing the new countertops in both of our bathrooms. From the very beginning he was quick to schedule the work and took the time to answer all of my questions. Anytime I sent him a text, he responded quickly and was always helpful and professional. David and his team are extremely skilled, and the quality of their work really shows. The installation was smooth, efficient, and the finished countertops look fantastic. It’s clear they take pride in what they do. I highly recommend Alliance Granite and Quartz if you’re looking for someone reliable who does excellent work."

"The pricing was excellent for all of my materials. The marble backsplash I ordered was even cheaper than at the local big box store. Their designer, Virginia Capone, was so helpful and patient with me as I tried to figure out what would work best for my design and budget. She helped me to feel less overwhelmed with all the decisions, and I never felt pressured to make a purchase. Some of our home renovations took longer than we had anticipated, but Eastern Surfaces was so accommodating with holding our materials for a little longer until we were ready for installation. That was a huge help! Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend them!"

"<p>The team at Cornerstone Kitchen & Baths is extremely helpful and thoughtful. Their staff is very knowledgeable about their different products. My husband and I went to them when we wanted to refinish our bathroom this year. Their general manager sat down with us, and helped narrow down the options for the look that we wanted. They have tons of options for tile, cabinetry and granite counter tops. We found exactly what we wanted. At the time the showroom was expanding, so although they did not have the exact sink we wanted in the showroom, they still showed us options for what we could get, and ordered exactly what we were looking for, for our project. We would use this place again.</p>"

FAQs for stone slab countertops installation (granite, marble, quartz, etc) projects in Allentown, PA

Soapstone countertops are durable, environmentally friendly, easy to maintain, non-porous, heat-resistant, and naturally antibacterial. They resist stains and cracks, making them a practical and long-lasting choice. However, soapstone has limited color options and can have visible seams in larger installations. It may also scratch or chip if not handled carefully and tends to have a higher initial cost than other materials. Overall, if you're looking for a functional and aesthetically pleasing countertop, soapstone is a solid choice despite these minor drawbacks.

Soapstone countertops typically come in light to dark gray, often with blue or green undertones. One of the unique features of soapstone is that it deepens in color over time, developing a rich patina that adds to its charm. Each slab is unique, with natural streaks and veining that become more pronounced as the countertop ages, giving your kitchen or bathroom a dynamic and evolving look.

With proper care, soapstone countertops can last 50 years or more. Regular cleaning with mild detergents and occasional applications of mineral oil to enhance the natural patina will keep your countertops looking beautiful. Thanks to its durable nature, soapstone stands up well for daily use, making it a wise long-term investment for your home.

Sealing isn't necessary for soapstone countertops. Soapstone is naturally non-porous and antibacterial, resists stains, and doesn't harbor bacteria. While you don't need to seal it, applying mineral oil occasionally can enhance its natural beauty and help develop a rich patina over time. This simple maintenance keeps your countertop looking its best for years to come.
