"I called on a Friday and they were able to send somebody on Monday morning. I'm not sure if it was because they contacted me through Homeadvisor or because I was hesitant to have them come out without even a ballpark price, but they waived the trip charge. I told them that I had a leaking shower faucet and expected that the cartridge just needed to be replaced. I received a phone call and text 40 minutes before the tech's arrival as promised. Jake showed up on time and offered to wear the booties everybody brings these days, but between the time he spent sitting in his van and then writing up a quote after glancing at the faucet, it was at least half an hour before I even had the quote. My choices were $412 for the cartridge or $700+ to replace at least the valve and maybe more and then repair drywall. I assume the quote was written this way to trigger the upsale, but I will be selling my home soon and the drywall that didn't even need to be removed for this repair is already being replaced as part of a separate repair project. I was surprised that he didn't bring shower cartridges on the van since it seems like a common repair, and I'd specifically told them that's what I needed. He was gone for over an hour to get one from the supply center. Once he returned, he turned off the water, then went back to the van for a bit. Once he started on the faucet, it took maybe half an hour to swap out the cartridge. When he was done, Jake had me sign a few times, then emailed me an invoice with no text describing the service performed, just the total. I told him I needed some explanation of what was done, and he re-sent it with a blurb explaining a Moen cartridge was replaced and has a one year warranty. About an hour after Jake left, I received a follow up phone call to confirm everything was completed to my satisfaction. I have no complaints about the work, everybody was pleasant enough to deal with, and I know they create their quotes straight from a pricebook, but 3 hours and $412 to complete a 30 minute repair that requires a part costing no more than $50 just seems excessive."

"I was running my garbage disposal when I realized my feet were getting wet. Water was pouring out from under the kitchen sink. I called my usual plumber, but got voice mail. I waited an hour and called him again - still voice mail. I used Angie's list to look up some other plumbers, but it was late on Sunday so decided not to call till early Monday since it wasn't an emergency. Tried my usual plumber again on Monday still voice mail. First Angie's list plumber told me up front unless it was an emergency, he was too booked to help. Holt Plumbing was my second call. They took all the information and said they'd have someone out today and gave me a ballpark estimate of when so I could let work know when I had to leave. I was given the option of a text message or a phone call 30 minutes before they came out so I could give work a heads up as to when I had to leave. They called and I left and met the plumber pulling into the driveway. He assessed the problem and had everything on his truck to fix it right away. He gave me a rough estimate based on what he could see before he did any work and let me know that he'd know if it would be more when he tore into it. He brought his tools in and got busy. He told me it was just the garbage disposal going out and that his estimate would be the same as he had told me earlier. In about an hour he was testing it out and gave me a bill which met the estimate plus tax. <br /> Quick to respond, quick and professional to let me know what he was going to do and quick to get to work and good to let me <br /> Everything is all working great now. LOVE IT and will use Holt Plumbing again.-Thanks for the great service!! <br /> Thanks also to Angie's list for not having to scramble and to hope to get a good plumber from the phone book! <br />"

"Concrete driveway leveling and crack repair work was performed to our satisfaction, by a 2 man crew, who arrived promptly at 8 am and completed the repairs in less than 4 hours. <br /> The work was expertly done. Almost half of the driveway had settled with resultant cracks and joint movement, caused by water intrusion into the substrate below the slab. The slab has now been raised back up to level by drilling small holes in the slab and filling below with light weight dense foam, pressure injected. Upon completion of the leveling process, all the crack joints were filled with sand cement topped off with a flowable epoxy, thus sealing the joints. <br /> Observing the work as it was done, I was impressed by the skill level shown and, especially, the judgement of how much injection can be done without causing further cracking to occur due to over filling, or uneven filling. <br /> It is important for potential customers to know that this is repair work. The intent is to make the driveway completely functional and safe. The evidence of it being repaired will be obvious but should, when finished properly, be acceptable. The only alternative, complete demolition, sub slab consolidation and new slab construction, would probably cost at least ten times as much and much longer to complete. <br /> The two men worked diligently, showed a high level of competence and were very courteous at all times. We were very impressed and would, following this experience, strongly recommend Acculevel, Inc. <br /> Myles Murphy <br />"

"Excellent! The problem was solved with the diagnosis from Neighbors.I had been having problems with drains in one of my rental homes. I was in New York when it happened. Water was coming down through the ceiling and into the basement. I asked neighbors to come and help diagnose the problem and it their recommendation solved the problem. <br />"
