They carefully removed the main branches and smaller horizontal branches hanging over the roof, and no damage was done to the house or gutters during the work. "Excellent experience overall. Workers arrived right on time. Work was done as requested. They planned and executed a fairly complicated takedown of a dead cherry wood tree that had cracked at the base and fallen against our house, without the tree causing any further damage. In addition, not only did they clear major oak tree branches from our second story roof, they also blew the debris off the roof, saving us from having to do that later (at some risk to our safety). All the rest of the trimming in the front and back yards was done to our satisfaction. We did ask that they not take away the wood and trimmed branches, so they didn’t have to deal with that. But they made sure to cut the wood into manageable sizes so that we could transport it to where we needed without too much effort. The guys were very knowledgeable and friendly as well. The cost overall was quite reasonable imo because of the level of complexity involved. They also knew about the health of the trees, not just how to trim them. They helped us identify a carpenter ant issue, and provided corrective care for it. Overall, I would definitely utilize Growing Solutions for any additional tree trimming or health work that we need going forward."

"A storm blew a tree on our house. We received multiple quotes, all from companies that are insured, including PR Tree Service. PR came in as one of the lowest. The owner is easily to reach for estimates and other questions. We needed two quotes as insurance would cover the tree on the house but not our other tree needs. On tree removal day, a crew of 9-10 guys and lots of equipment removed the tree off the house and hauled away the debris. Further, doing a second job of stump grinding, and trimming of a few additional trees. The crew was very safe, professional, well organized, and fast. They yard was very clean when the job was completed. I won't hesitate to use PR Tree Service in the future."

"Communication was poor. Work was done over three days, but the team would show up and leave without any warning or notification. I was right inside the house. Equipment was in our driveway while they worked, which was reasonable, but it would have been nice to be asked about that first, because it meant my car was stuck in the garage the whole time. (I suppose, to be fair, communication was pretty poor with almost all the people we contacted about quotes for this job.) They didn't even notify us when they were done, just mailed an invoice. A message about wanting to pay with credit card was not returned, finally found out they don't take credit card, even though it shows they do here and on their website (they did apologize for this). As for the work itself, they did a decent job removing the tree. They damaged a plant in the front yard and made one or two deep divots in the lawn, but that's probably to be expected. They ground out 95% of the stump and hauled away the excess mulch. Ultimately they got the job done at a competitive price during a busy season, but they won't be our go-to providers for future work."

"I have hired Joshua Tree Experts Indianapolis twice. The first time was for a tree removal and some other trees trimmed. The second time was for removal of about 7 shrubs and others trimmed and shaped. On both occasions they were excellent. They were professional, knowledgeable and careful of other plants and bushes around them. they also did stump removal both times. They cleaned up after leaving no debris behind. Their price was reasonable too."

"We hired Fred & Sons to remove a failing willow tree. I contacted them on Friday and they had a crew here Tuesday. The tree pro hit his exact mark, and the crew left the yard in better condition than I have ever seen it! They got the tree down, all the wood and stump removed within a few hours. "I had a large tree that had just gotten too big, was too close to the house and was starting to lean toward the house. I also had concerns that my air conditioning unit sat under the tree on that side of the house. I really didn’t want a bucket truck driving up in this location either. I was referred to Jimmy by a friend he had done some tree work for, so I gave him a call. He answered his phone right away and then came out to the house within a few days to give me a quote. Very reasonable – better than his competitors. Jimmy and his crew did an excellent job taking the tree down. They were very careful not to damage the house or anything else around the tree. They also trimmed up a large tree that had grown into the power lines that run up to our house. Jimmy also got up on the roof and blew all of the debris from the tree off the roof and cleaned out the gutters - an above and beyond service that I did not expect, but greatly appreciated. Once the tree was down. I requested that they leave the firewood for me – not a problem and they stacked it nicely. The rest of the debris was chipped up and hauled away. They used a leaf blower to totally clean up the yard and driveway and even blew the dust off of our vehicles. Jimmy was very courteous and very conscious of his customer, their property and their need. He and his crew did a great job. He is busy, so be aware that it may take a few days before he can schedule your job, but he will get it done and get it done right. He told me a week or two because the weather hadn’t been cooperating and it had set his schedule behind a bit, but as soon as the weather cleared, he was there – actually took less than a week. They arrived, did the job, cleaned up and were on their way. I would definitely recommend Jimmy’s Tree Service and do plan to use them in the future."

"Getting an estimate and scheduling with A Better Tree was more of a fluid process than I'm accustomed to. There was some rescheduling and talk of shooting for certain weeks with a call a day or two ahead of time. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, just something everyone should be aware of, as some might not be comfortable or able to accommodate this type of arrangement.

The estimate with Dale went well and I appreciated his honest and straightforward approach to doing business. We discussed which items needed to be addressed, those that could wait but would need to be taken care of in the coming years, and those, which could be left alone. After agreeing on which items I would like to be considered, he wrote up an estimate. It wasn't the lowest I received but it was far from the highest. I ultimately went with A Better Tree based on price, comfort of doing business with Dale during the estimate, and his method of climbing trees rather than brining in a truck with bucket.

As I mentioned, scheduling of the work was more fluid than some people might be accustomed to. Thankfully I had enough flexibility to consider their approach, but I'm sure there are others who need something more ridged and concrete. Dale and his crew arrived in the morning and promptly got to work. They worked quickly and efficiently with Dale climbing, roping, and cutting, and the others lowering and removing debris.

I was very pleased with the quality of their work and the value I received. Furthermore, I had multiple neighbors inquire about A Better Tree after seeing the results and learning the cost for services was much more reasonable than they expected or, in some cases, had paid a different company in the past.

Although I have since moved, I have recommended them to several friends and would have no hesitation using A Better Tree again, if I returned to central Indiana.
