"I called Rob and left a message for a tree removal job.  He called me back within a couple of minutes and told me he would go take a look at the tree removals in question that afternoon.  The next day he provided me a very fair quote, and we booked the removal for the Thursday of that same week.  Rob and his crew showed up as scheduled, cut down and hauled away the trees, and ground the stumps all within a couple of hours, and then he texted me a picture of the completed work as I was not at the house when they finished. 
Fast, ethical, well-priced and responsive.  I wish every contractor interaction I had went as smoothly as this one.  Couldn't ask for more and I will definitely call Rob again for future jobs!

"This is an engineered wall which is intended to preserve the clay pad upon which our home was constructed.  The home is on a downhill slope.  The contractor respected all manufacturer recommendations regarding installation.
The crew seemed seasoned, both in terms of the type of work, and also as a working team.  The management partners are hands on participants and spent every day on site.
The project included not only hardscaping, but also plumbing and electrical aspects.  The crew seemed comfortable performing the required tasks.
We found the guys to be pleasant to have around.  Given that the blocks weigh about 50 lbs each, the temperature was as high as 105, and the work surface challenging, the cheerful smiles were actually something of a miracle.
We had agreed generally on the wall design, but left many design decisions up to them.  We are very pleased with the aesthetics of the final product.  Their instincts are good.
Our greatest frustration was probably with regard to communication and scheduling, BUT this job was booked during the most rainy Spring on record, and the installation took place over a 2.5 week period when temps were above 100 every day.  That at
least partially explains the delayed start and the longer than expected execution.  At those temperatures, a break is required after about every 20 minutes of labor. 
The above concerns are offset by the fact that because management is on-site, feedback is immediate and there are no communication problems during the project execution."

"Job: Clear Land, Pile Trees, Spread 10 loads of dirt, cut back over head limbs, and clean up the gate entrance. These guys got everything I needed done in one day. Pricing was for 2 pieces of equipment (mini ex & tractor) which I felt was great. Im more than happy with the end results. Pros: they did everything I needed done. They didn't leave any trash behind them Cons: none. I just wish I could have gotten more clearing done. It just wasn't within my budget."

"They tore out some patio concrete the previous owner had put in badly, and replaced it with pea gravel concrete. They also demolished and hauled off some rotted decking and an old hot tub. They did a great job and were super nice."

"Golden was willing to take on this project after other companies that I contacted refused to due to the complicated nature of the repair. I have a very old house. It has been remodeled, but it had numerous foundation issues. Golden was willing to do the work and offered a very good price. Not only is my house old, but one side was significantly lower than the other (over 4 inches). Golden attempted to level the house, but 4 inches was a tough amount to raise one side. They carefully monitored the raise and stopped when they felt it was at a good level. They weren't able to start on the date that they originally gave me, but once they started they were very reliable. They called to keep me informed about the delay on the start time and we were able to work out a new start day.

"Needed a 14-year old water heater replaced as it was original to the house.  Logged on to Angie's List to research plumbers in the area.  Used Angie's List email to contact several "A" rated plumbers.  Two replied with phone numbers for me to call, but no written answers to my questions or a written quote.  Two others replied with written answers to my questions along with a written quote.  However, only Lee Frankum with Bay Coast Plumbing (BCP) mentioned that his quoted price was all inclusive, no hidden fees, and that included pulling a permit with the city and having a city building inspector come to the house to green tag his work as REQUIRED by League City.  Now, I'm a stickler for city building code regulation especially when natural gas is involved.  And there was a $50 coupon on BCP's Angie's List page.  Of course, Bay Coast Plumbing got my business!  The guys showed up on time, worked diligently in a hot attic (I gave them each a bottle of water), and they took $50 off the quoted price due to the coupon.  Later that day, Lee Frankum called me to confirm that the city code inspector would be coming by on Monday.  Sure enough, it is Monday and the city code inspector just green-tagged BCP's work.  Am very satisfied!
