The work was delayed by weather, but was quickly rescheduled. They completely removed the original concrete driveway, installed a bed of stone, and a steel framework. The following day, they installed, graded (so water runs off to the street), and broom textured the driveway. They were respectful of the plants around the driveway. We were cleaning out of our basement years of miscellaneous junk, furniture, books, magazines and such, all intermingled with valuable items from ancestors. Gabriel arrived on time and was personally present for longer than I expected.  He offered extremely helpful general and specific advice beyond what I imagined would normally be called for. Equally important, he arrived, picked up and carted the dumpster off on time only a few days later, so there was very little time for "volunteer" additions from others. He demonstrated expertise and familiarity with his equipment, and to save us time and effort went so far as to ask in advance for a photo of the access, so he could be sure his dumpster and trailer would fit and fit our needs. Used kiln dried fir wood as opposed to wet pine you typically purchase at the local home improvement stores. <br /> Double K also installed fire blocks (not in original scope of work) that were necessary to pass the local framing permit inspection. Neal was very helpful assisting me with my design concepts and provided solutions to some design flaws that did not occur to me until he pointed them out. I would like to also add the drywall contractor asked me who did the framing because he was very impressed with the workmanship. I would use Double K Contractors Inc. again.
