I wouldn't recommend another company to do pavers, concrete, or landscaping work. The attention to detail was absolutely amazing! They transformed the front and the back of my home with beautiful pavers, hand cutting each piece and laying each one of them so symmetrically. I've had at least half a dozen neighbors stop in to see their work and ask for a business card! And the clean up...my goodness. Each day they wrapped up everything, put tools away, and keep everything so tidy and clean. I really appreciated that. No mud and dirt everywhere...it was incredible! During my consult, I shared my vision with Jose and his team created the design for the back patio, the walkway, and a new front porch. I trusted his expertise and wow - it is so beautiful. "Overall:  Gene and his crew are amazing. Extremely professional, punctual, personable, and honest. He's not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.  He's a perfectionist who understands and enjoys working on older homes.  Would strongly recommend and use again.  <br /> We own a 100 year old Craftsman home in DC.  Gene has a good understanding of how our old home was constructed and what was needed to get the job done.  Despite the large scale of our project, there were no major adjustments to our original quote.  He did an amazing job of mating the new construction (moulding, trim, etc..) with the original/old work.  He's one of those select few who takes joy in working on older homes.  <br /> Gene is a perfectionist.  He redid multiple phases of the project (at no cost) because things were not "perfect.", including: reframing, retiling and regrouting a few areas, and replacing fans that were too loud.   The end result is magazine photo worthy.  Again, you get what you pay for. <br /> They arrived every day on time, and their daily clean up was so good you could eat off the floor. His crew was very courteous. They even helped my elderly neighbor. Her glass dinning room table shattered.  They cleaned it up and fabricated a temporary table so that she had a place to eat until she got a new table. <br /> As with any project of this scale, there were a few hiccups.  Some furniture got damaged but Gene went out of his way to remedy the situation...bringing in a furniture restoration company. <br /> If you want someone who takes pride in his work, is a perfectionist, honest, and places the customer's satisfaction over his bottom line, then Gene is your guy. <br /> My 2 year old already misses him. Gene would often bring my son surprise presents.  My son's always asking "where's Gene?"  <br /> We've had many contractors work on our house.  Gene is hands down the best.  Highly recommend. <br /> My only regret in providing this review is that he will be harder to get the next time we need him. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Basement (approximately 1200 sq ft) was completed in year (2015). Finished basement comprised of 3 rooms and bathroom. We continue to have plumbing problems until this year. Initially a whistling noise in the pipes was said to be air in the pipes. After being told that the problem was air in the pipes and how to fix it, we tried to no avail to clear the problem. ABHI's plumber came out to observe and he informed us that a piece needed to be installed. Javier, the owner, told us that to repair the problem, we would have to pay more money but that he would split the cost with us. We contacted WSSC. They came out and adjusted something on the piping-free of charge. We contacted ABHI again with another plumbing issue at the installed commode which bubbled and made noises and gave off nauseous gassy fumes at the commode and bath tub when the washing machine was running. When speaking with Javier, we were told that the plumbing was inspected and passed and therefore the additional problems that we are experiencing would be an additional charge to repair. This hardly sounds like it should be the case when none of these problems existed prior to ABHI's plumber finishing the bathroom. Finally, Javier sent a plumber to our home to correct the problem this year and once the work was complete told the plumber to bill us for the work. This despite the fact that these problems only existed from the time ABHI completed the work. This is very unprofessional that Javier would approve work to be done on our home, without notifying us that the expense would be ours. Again, we only found out at the completion of the work what the cost was and that we were going to be asked to pay for it. The plumber still has not been paid in full. Additionally, communication was a continuous problem throughout the project which lasted approximately 5-6 months as opposed to the 2-3 months originally projected. The electrical, framing, drywall, and flooring were completed satisfactorily. Also, when we purchased items for the project (eg. bathroom vanity), Javier was willing to reduce our price by the budgeted allotment for the items since he did not have to make the purchases. All prospective clients: Be very cautious about this company because all fees may not be included in your given price if you experience similar problems after you have made final payment."

"They did an Excellent job and was so Impressed that they were able to come that night to replace our deadbolt lock for us.  Very professional and super friendly and finished the job in about an hour.  We really needed the lock to be replaced and they handled everything perfectly and were able to replace our door handle also.  We are very happy with their service and would definitely use them again. <br />"

"Daniel and his team totally renovated our bathroom. They transformed the shower into a closet and replaced the large jacuzzi tub with a shower and smaller Japanese style soaking tub. They also replaced the vanity and installed tile. The team did a great job; I could not have asked for more. The communication before work started was excellent; no surprises. Daniel provided us with a design expert who helped plan the space and select the tile and fixtures. One great thing was that the expert worked with us to really make our vision come true (but in a much better way than we could have done ourselves). The construction crew was efficient and respectful of our home. They completed the project on-time and on budget without any drama. After the project was complete, Daniel's team did a walk-through and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. The end product was great; exactly what we wanted and even better than I imagined. Since the renovation, we have received tons of compliments on the work. Overall, I could not have asked for more. I have recommended Daniel and his team to friends, neighbors and colleagues and will continue to do so. They are absolutely wonderful."
