He purchased a new box (DVR), corrected a faulty camera hook up, and restored the pictures to the monitor. He installed an app on my cell phone so I can monitor activity around the house from anywhere I am. He also installed a Kami inside motion detector that I had been procrastinating about since 2023 and placed it on my cell phone. He is very knowledgeable about security systems and software programs"

"Frontpoint is very easy to use... it's one of the only DIY services out there. You can install all the sensors yourself (they are all wireless). You stick them where they need to go with very clear instructions, and if you do need help Frontpoint support is excellent. You always get someone on the phone, and they are always happy to walk you through any issues you're having. I've had issues a few different times with dead batteries in a sensor, or misplacement of a sensor causing issues, and in all cases they've resolved the issues quickly over the phone. Because of this, I can manage the system myself (and that's pretty much installation upfront, updating equipment every few years/as needed, and support very rarely). We've yet to have a breakin or anything like that, but we've had several false alarms where my wife accidentally set the alarm off... and in those cases, Frontpoint calls you immediately, asks you for a password, and then asks if you need assistance. Of course we don't, but if they can't reach you... which has also happened... they call the next person on the list (my wife). If they can't reach that person, the cops are already on their way while Frontpoint works down the list of family members, neighbors, etc. to let them know there is an incident at the house and the cops are on their way. This has happened a couple times (due to user error). But it's good to know they have our backs if there is ever a real issue. A+ for Frontpoint."

"Great company to deal with. Totally customer focused. My wife was not comfortable with me installing our security system myself, so internet based alarm companies were a no go. I contacted our existing company, Vector, Vivant, ADT & 1st Security. I met with all of the reps. Jeremy from 1st Security came to our home right away to conduct a detailed security assessment. He listened to our needs and our concerns with our existing landline based security system (through Vector), and he designed an effective yet practical and affordable set up for our home. Their prices cannot be beat- trust me I did my homework. Larry came to install the new security system and he was also great to deal with. Knowledgeable and patient- he took his time to explain how the system worked and gave us his cell # in case we had any issues. Kudos to 1st Security USA! The technicians are very knowledgeable and always answered all our questions. They quickly provided estimates for several different replacement system options covering a range of costs. The cost estimates were quite reasonable and they did not try to convince us to buy a more efficient system that would have been more expensive. While waiting for the installation, they were very helpful in keeping our old system running, coming out a couple of times at no extra cost to address problems that arose.
