"How did it go? GREAT! I hired OES years ago to install their equiptment after a very large corporate company I "bundled" with, emailed me to tell me they received the cancellation of my security system.... I DID NOT CANCEL IT!!! Turns out for some reason that they could not explain their computer randomly canceled my security system! I was so upset because I lived in an area that was getting worse with crime. I called every day (I documented it all), sometimes 3 times a day crying, asking, begging for help because I was afraid to be without a security system. They did absolutely nothing! Passed me from one "supervisor" to the next. I was without protection for a week! I finally called Marvin with OES, a referral from a friend. "Link Interactive were very easy to work with on the phone, and very quick to ship us the equipment. It arrived 2 days later and I did the install after reviewing their on-line instructions posted on Link's website. The installation took about 3-4 hours but really was not difficult. We activated the system with Link and everything worked well. After using the system for a couple weeks, we noticed that although the 2Gig control panel worked as advertised, our mid-60's eyes just weren't sharp enough to use the smallish 2Gig panel's touch screen. So although the system worked well, we decided to exchange the 2Gig system and sensors with the newly released Qolsys IQ Panel 2 (also carried by Link) which has a much larger and higher resolution screen. Link Interactive processed the exchange quickly for us and I dismantled the 2 Gig system and shipped it back to Link, and replaced everything with the Qolsys system and sensors. The IQ Panel 2 is an excellent panel that has worked really well with our aging eyes. We have had this system now for 3 months and it has worked flawlessly for us. The added bonus with the new Qolsys IQ Panel 2 is has a built-in 4G cellular chip (rather than the 3G chip in the 2Gig), has wifi for dual-path communication with the alarm monitoring company (Alarm.com) for fail-safe back-up, communication, and a bluetooth module that that will disarm the alarm system when you return home and have your linked bluetooth-equipped smart phone with you. Very cool and convenient when you have your hands full with groceries, etc. Bottom line is that if you have good vision, the 2Gig system is very fine and feature packed. For poorer eyes like ours, we really appreciate the larger, clearer screen the Qolsys system uses. Good choices either way. And the service and help given by Link Interactive staff is excellent, patient and always pleasant. Link's monitoring plans and prices are top-notch too. Count us as very satisfied."

"We called and were able to quickly get in touch with Dustin, who was handling the weekend service calls. He was polite and said he would get there in about 2 hours after a service call in Orlando. He arrived even faster, which was great! He was very polite, well-spoken and clearly knew what he was doing. He removed the broken door lock and installed a new, higher quality one. He also adjusted the mechanism so it would close easier. He also worked on the front door lock, including adjusting the strike plate and making the mechanism work smoothly. It was a huge improvement from how the door had been and now works well. In general, everything about the visit was exceptionally professional, polite and high-quality!"

Don't become concerned about the money. You can choose a reliable system at many price points. I chose a high end system. I chose six 4K cameras, the most well defined video available. There is an APP for the cell phone. I added an eight terabyte recorder capable of about two months of movement and connected it to my smart flat panel TV. I had some objects disappear from my yard and I can't tell when it happened. Neighbors had similar experiences and there are newspaper stories. I don't want trespassers vandalizing a political sign I might put on my front lawn or unwanted strangers harassing my wife when I'm not around. I am away from the house for extended periods. If it's serious, I'll contact law enforcement with the video I'll have. Lavinash arrived on installation day with all the necessary materials and tools and worked until he was done. He needed to come back for a few tweaks, nothing major. He completed some work I requested and trouble shot my fax machine. He did not react negatively or charge extra. I would hire him again.
