"Needed ice maker repaired. It's not making or dropping ice. Needed Electric Dryer drum to stop continues turning when not in use. Ice maker: Not repaired. Instead: He replaced the thermostat, and door handles were semi-fixed, tightened. Electric Dryer: Face plate (settings) was pushed in. He popped that out. He also cleaned out the wall vent from decades of trapped lint. However, the dryer drum keeps turning after the timer goes off. When it's turning, it's not getting hot. Only way to stop it from turning and make it stop, is leaving the Dryer door open. If not, the drum continues to turn, for days if we leave the door closed. There's also when we're drying clothes, it doesn't heat up so the clothes stay wet for hours leaving us to have to rewash clothes and hang up to dry. The initial call for the repairs were not repaired. Ice maker doesn't make ice Dryer drum continues to spin I reached out to him two days later after the repairs he made, letting him know that the reason for the initial call to repair the ice maker and Dryer, were still not working. I received no response from him. It's been over a week now. He has not responded. Sabino started his job with us, with excellent customer service. I called about the repair and he came out the same day (even after being in a rollover car accident with his young son). He did the minor repair. He ordered 'special' parts for the refrigerator. A week later. He fixed what he thought needed fixing. Except for the real reason I requested his Experienced Appliance Repair Services. The ice maker and the Dryer. Paid: $300 cash. $325 on our debit card. We still have broken Appliances. I had to take my business elsewhere, and spend more money on the same Appliances. Needless to say, I'm disappointed. I wish him well."

"Homeward Appliance came to my house to see if there was any hope for my Island Range Hood Fan. I had previously called the Kitchen Aid repair service and they said that the fan motor was broken and could not be replaced or repaired. I was lucky enough to find Josh at Homeward. He took the blower fan off the unit and took it to a motor repair service. They rebuilt the blower and Josh came back a reinstalled it in my range hood fan. "We found Amer with a Big Deal on Angies List.  The price was for maybe an hours worth of work.  They showed up on time, replaced the outdoor faucet (spigot?) which was leaking (spraying) really bad. They did something else for us (which I can't recall). 
Then my third request was to get his thoughts on what to do with a single lever shower control that had Hot and Cold backwards.  Hot was cold and cold was hot.  He looked at the age and model of shower level etc.  Then said yes he could take it apart.  It was probably a mixer valve (or something like) and try to flip the mixer it over.  However, given the age (<13yrs old) and hard water... chances are good that it may break in the process.  If it did break then that may cost a bit more.  So he'd be happy to do it of course, or if there aren't any other problem with it (no leaking etc.) then I might want to wait until the next time it needs to be worked on / replaced.  But it was my choice.
I appreciated his honesty and giving me options rather than just plowing forward and possibly running up the bill.  I think this shows some integrity, professionalism and caring about the customer.
