"Elegant Cabinets makes a superior custom cabinet. Dont go to Menards and buy the factory made cabinets! Its worth the extra money to have these custom cabinets built for you! We had installed prefab cabinets in the kitchen, and later, by referral, decided to go with Dustin for custom built cabinets in our bathroom remodel. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! They are beautiful, fit well, and Dustin is a great guy. His team is a pleasure to work with too. Superior quality of product and workmanship. Highly recommended. <br />"

"Wilco is an outstanding cabinet maker. I used them at my previous home when I made some minor changes in my kitchen. I recently moved and decided that I needed pull-out shelves in my pantry and base kitchen cabinets. I also needed a vanity removed from the powder room/laundry room and have a cabinet built and installed along with a rod for hanging clothes when removed from the dryer. Everything was done beautifully. I didn't have room in my kitchen for a waste basket and they designed a spot for that, too. I was like a kid in a candy shop when it was installed! <br />"

"I had them come over for a bid and it was an OK bid, but the lady that came out, the girl really wasn't helpful and so I solicited a couple of more bids. They weren't very helpful as far as suggestions or ideas or anything, they just kind of sat there and didn't say a word while my wife and I were bantering back and forth what we really wanted you know, and they just kind of never threw in their true sense what so ever. Showcase Kitchens, Inc. came in about two weeks ago for the quoting process. I pretty much only dealt with that one person and like I said she was nice but she gave no input. Showcase Kitchens, Inc. responded quickly and they came over, wasn't any problem. Professionalism was lacking according to the way she handled it."

"He is very good. We used them last August. He acted as the contractor. He oversaw the roof. He also laid some floors in the bathroom, he did some custom built work in the den. He also fitted a flat screen for us in the den, he widened one end of our den to accommodate the television and he did some shelves for us. He was a perfectionist. I would recommend him. He was very good. We did not do any comparing in relation to price. It seemed high, but the quality of his work was very good. The price was reasonable to high. We would use him again in the future."

"I just remodeled my kitchen for $75000 and I used Classic Renovations out of Green Bay Wisconsin.  They finished that February 2015.  There was a lot of delays and a lot of confusion and a lot of things had to be done but they did a phenomenal job.  We had some mix ups but the did a good job.  It was  $55000 for the actual cabinet install work.  The install work was an additional $15000 and some of that was a little hoaky and we had to go back on some of that stuff.  It was a combination of using a cabinet company and then I was using them to install the cabinets.  So you buy the cabinets and Classic Renovations were the installers.  The actual cabinets came from another place."

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Appleton, WI

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
