I'm going to be totally honest with the people of Angi- We hired this team to perform a siding job and it originally didn't go well. They pulled down the pre-existing wood shingle siding that was rotted and installed new Siding on the home. When the siding first went up there was a defect that we all couldn't understand. We thought that it wasn't okay to leave it up but tried to see if the warmer weather would cause it to unbuckle. JJP stood by their words even months after the siding had been installed and came back to make the necessary fixes. I appreciate this more than the team knows because too often contractors are not true to what they say. This team is running an honest business that I can truthfully say that I trust. "Following the nor’easter I contacted Rivertown roofing. I received a call back within an hour and was able to schedule an estimate first thing the next morning. In addition to Rivertown, I contacted the local roofer utilized by most people in my neighborhood as well as one other company. I received a variety of estimates and feedback regarding the nature of the work that needed to be completed in order to replace the roof shingles that had been blown off of my 20-year-old roof during the windstorm. Recommendations included replacing the entire roof for up to $30,000.?? As I was under a time constraint to repair the damage before the next storm, each company offered different solutions. One company indicated they would come and put a tarp over the damage for $750 until they could either repair the roof. Rivertown came the next day and completed the job at one third the price of any of the other estimates. But it is not just the price. After I hired Rivertown, the owner, Miguel, made a second trip to my home that evening in order to get a shingle so he could find a match for the job the next day. He squeezed my job in after completing another job.....he said he didn’t want to disappoint his other customer either. The job was completed, the shingles he selected match perfectly, he cleaned up the entire area and was as nice as could be. "I had a piece of siding that blew off in a storm. They were able to fix it within 24h, but I had to buy a whole box of siding and the new piece is a different gray color. Now I have a whole box of siding in my garage that isn't even the same color as my house. Additionally, after the work was done they guy basically told me that I should redo the siding on my whole house and was very pushy that I get it done now and at a very high price. Needless to say, I left the 30yo siding that I have on the house and will be hiring a different company if and when I decide to redo the whole house."
