"There was a defect in a newly replaced faucet (replaced 3 months earlier by a handyman - NEVER use a handyman!) which caused the water to build up and overflow from the bathroom cabinet onto the floor, saturating all items stored there. Fortunately, I have a tile floor.  I don't use that bathroom and the leak went unnoticed for at least a week.  The plumbers from Fergies (one was in training) were quick to respond and assist me.  I am a senior lady and they purchased a known brand faucet for me at a lower price than the handyman charged me for a defective faucet!  Fergies installed it and repaired the damage to the joint.  The plumber explained everything to me as he went through the process and showed me where the defect in the faucet was and explained what the charges on the invoice represented.  This is a really fine company with excellent service and fair pricing.  The total time spent at my house was approximately 1.5 hours and the cost of the faucet was $80.00 (included in the price above). <br> <br>Five years earlier, Fergies replaced my commode in the master bath and I have not had a single problem since.  I will always use Fergies from now on.  Lesson learned!  "

"I have used Mr. Rooter several times over the past few years.  Once, I tried to do something to a pipe under a sink that I really shouldn't have messed with, and I ended up with a gushing leak from the pipe.  I ran around finding buckets and bowls to catch the water, towels to sop up all the water that ended up on the floor, and a phone book to find a plumber.  I randomly picked Mr. Rooter because it had a big add that said they took emergency calls.  I called, and was pretty upset, and a plumber was dispatched immediately.  He called me while on the way to my house to see if he could help me to turn off the water, but I was pretty useless.  He arrived quickly and stopped the gushing water quickly  and fixed the whole problem quickly.  I don't remember how much that cost, because I was just happy he came so fast. <br /> I have also used Mr. Rooter to purchase a new water heater and thermostat.  The plumber was courteous, and as far as I can tell he did a good job, but there was some question about the accuracy of some information he provided about the water heater, which has been a problem.  I can't comment on how good the price was, because I didn't comparison shop. <br /> <br />"
