"The work I asked JP General Construction to undertake was the demolition of a 40 year old concrete in-ground swimming pool that was far past its prime. I couldn't be more pleased with the job done by JP General Construction. When I first contacted the owner, Jaime Peredo, he made time to do a site visit the same day in spite of other projects in progress. I found him and his staff to be flexible, straight forward in describing the details of the work to be done, the techniques and equipment involved and the probable duration of the project. The work ethic and attention to detail was exactly what I was looking for., especially on the part of his employee Carlos who was tireless in some very difficult work breaking up the concrete and rebar with a jackhammer. Initially I realized that this was probably not too common a job, so with due diligence I got several proposals for the work, including one from JP General Construction. I had previously been acquainted with their pool demolition work by a near neighbor who also had a pool demolition done by JP General Construction some years ago. He had been very pleased with the result, and still is. I'm certain that I made the right choice with JP General Construction. They would be at the very top of my list for any of the types of work that they do based on their pricing, work ethic, attention to detail, flexibility, detailed proposal, and ability to explain the details of the job in layman's terms as well as the final inspection process."

The original diggers had buried these close to the surface, which would have made landscaping impossible. "I called Waterproofing Inc on a Wednesday and we scheduled an appointment for an estimate for Saturday. Steve promptly came at the scheduled time and we reviewed the situation in my basement.   I told him of my goal to have a finished DRY basement.  He looked at my existing pump and drain. He suggested that I could apply (or have applied) plastic sheeting to the walls to help with the seepage problem. However, he doesn't do that type of work. He also asked me what I thought the problem was with the moisture problem. He suggested that he could extend the current waterproofing system along the entire back wall and gave me a written estimate for that work. The reason that I rated him a B and said I would hire him was because I didn't feel confident in his diagnosis of the root cause of the water problem and his proposed solution to address the issue so that my basement could be dry. I am looking for a one stop shop with a solution driven individual who comes in as a problem solver. I just didn't get that from Steve. He didn't even look (or ask to look) outside the house to see how the water comes off the back of the house where the problem is.  I'm guess if I just wanted someone to drill up the concrete and put a drain in, he would be fine because his price was reasonable for that work. But I'm looking for a holistic solution provider who will address all issues with the most effective and efficient techniques to keep my basement dry.  I just wouldn't hire him for that role."

"Marcos and his crew did an EXCELLENT job repairing our basement after we had water damage to the floor/walls. They installed new insulation, repaired the drywall, painted the entire basement, and installed a tile floor. They also repaired a leaky shower in the basement bathroom. Marcos is the nicest, most accommodating (he came by at 6pm for the initial estimate to accommodate my work schedule) and most honest contractor I've ever dealt with and he and his crew worked very hard and very fast. They showed up on time every day and worked long hours. My basement looks better now than it did before it was flooded! I totally recommend them and will 100% use MP Home Repair in the future."
