"The whole project--from estimation through completion--went really well. We have a rowhouse, and we got fencing for both sides of our rear driveway and a roll-up garage door. They were able to deal with two large trees on either side that the fence had to be custom cut / fitted around and the result looks really good. We had one small issue where the final state of some cement they had to break up on the neighbor's side was making our neighbor unhappy, and when I emailed Gus about it he immediately emailed back and they came back to fix it later and it looks great. There are always going to be small issues like that on a big project, and Gus's responsiveness was outstanding."

"Ground Effects has performed two projects for us. Initially they had constructed a paver patio, retaining wall and paver sidewalk in 2014. The second project in 2022 consisted of a fire pit, retaining wall, drainage and driveway improvements around a newly constructed barn. The work was outstanding on all projects. Josh managed the work on site. His employees were skilled, polite, and cleaned up everyday. The finished area was landscaped and sod/seeded. "Apex Masonry is awesome. We started with a repair of my front stairs so that I could feel comfortable with their work after my previous contractor. Awesome job! After that Apex managed to fit me in with phases to complete the previous installation. The phases were reparging basement walkout, finishing back stairs steps, walls, caps with lighting, and modification of pathway to an extended patio surface, the patio pavers, toppers to columns, wall caps and lighting. The last phase was the retaining wall completion with lights and caps. After paving and fill dirt my project is completed after 2 yrs + start time. James was very professional, he listened to my concerns and he came through for me when others left me high and dry. I can not thank them enough. Highly recommend."

"We contacted several asphalt vendors for our driveway expansion project. MPS Asphalt was easy to deal with and punctual. There prices were reasonable compared to the competition and they did an excellent job of explaining in detail the exact scope of work they would perform for the price. Furthermore, when it came time to do the work they showed up exactly when they said they would. The quality of the work was outstanding. They did an excellent job of blending the new asphalt expansion with the existing asphalt driveway. The corners are sharp and precise and the rounded areas are smooth. There were no uneven areas or bad patches. The entire job was professionally executed in a timely manner. We are definitely going to have them come back in the spring and reseal our driveway. "We have worked with Lorena and Diego on numerous projects on our property - a half-bath buildout in our basement, exterior door and window replacements, and a master bath reno. They are honest and hardworking and provide some of the most reasonable quotes we've seen from other contractors. On this project, DGL worked on floors, doors, and ceilings, and installed canned lighting and fans in our upstairs rowhome rooms in DC. Diego and his team got straight to work at the scheduled date and quick progress was made of demolition and installation. His team was respectful of the place and did an adequate job controlling dust and debris throughout the rest of the house. DGL hired a few subcontractors as well for the job. To refinish our oak stairs and pine floors upstairs, the crew sanded and stained to our specifications (Monocoat), which came out looking great. We'd hoped they could clean up some of the old/decayed wood filler, but we realize it's complicated in a 90-year old home. DGL also hired a plumber to cut and cap a pipe for us, for which I believe we were charged way too much. I don't blame DGL, but the plumber was out of hand with his pricing. We had an electrician run new lines to each of the bedrooms, which resulted in massive chunks of wall being torn out. DGL's team did the drywall/plaster repair and made it look perfect. We were very impressed with their work. Ultimately, DGL truly transformed our upstairs and we are extremely pleased with the result. We'd highly recommend working with DGL for home projects and will continue working with them in the future."
