"Was searching for a Solatube dealer to repair or replace a defective dimmer switch and a "cloudy" prism that had been installed by a dealer that was no longer in business. Found Amazing Skylights booth at the Home Show at Dulles Town Center last March 2015.  The representative at the booth recommended I contact Richard Lindsay, the president of Amazing Skylights for response to my questions.  After speaking with him on the phone, I drove to his place of business with the prism and defective switch.  Wasn't sure what to expect, "showroom" fabrication facility or office.  Amazing Skylights operates out of a small bungalow in a light industrial area.  They have an office and parts storage there.  Mr. Lindsay was not there when I arrived but Mike, his able installer was there.  Mike offered me coffee or water while he examined the prism.  He disassembled it and cleaned it thoroughly while demonstrating how to do it at home if needed in the future. Rich, Mr. Lindsay, arrived and searched his web source for the dimmer switch and found he had one in stock.  The switch cost $60.00.  They did not take credit cards and I only had $40.00 with me.  "No problem. Send me the balance when you get home", Mr. Lindsay said.  Although, I can't comment on their actual installation of Solatubes or other skylights, I would definitely consult them for such work in the future based on their helpful courteous attitude and trust which they extended to me.

"St. Joseph's was the third business we consulted when seeking a Townhouse Roof replacement. Our home lost several shingles due to wind and we decided to go for a full replacement (vice repair). St. Joseph's was referred to us by word of mouth and felt went with them for the following reasons: 1) Pricing was a primary factor and they were not the cheapest of the three, but felt the value was best -- their warranty, shingle offerings, and options for items such as exhaust vents and flashings were the best for us. We were able to easily adhere to our HOA guidelines for company/color for shingles. 2) There was a lead time on the materials and scheduling of the service. However, they offered and did come out to ensure any tarps were secured and suffered no additional damage as a result. 3) Their customer service hit the balance of timeliness/punctuality, as well as knowledge of the process and how to provide a solution for us. "Our second floor ceilings were starting to fall down (neighbors already fell). We had them screw in the ceilings in three bedrooms and the hall as well as fix large vertical cracks in several rooms. They put screws in the ceilings a foot apart along all the joists. After they mudded and painted, the repairs are so clean you cannot even tell where they patched. I will admit they were not our cheapest bid but I am very glad we went with them."

"We started working with Jorden to re-slope some gutters to divert storm water. As our low slope shingle roof needed to be replaced, we asked him to provide a proposal to replace the existing roof with a modified bitumen roof system with an additional 3" rigid foam insulation. Kevin helped to provide me with the standard roof flashing and edge details for this type of residential roof system, which they were not familiar with. Kevin and Jorden discussed it with the roof installers and the product manufacturer, and provided whatever was needed, responding promptly throughout the process. They let us know when the material prices were expected to go up so that we could order the materials. During the time that I was not available, they worked with us to revise the schedule, which was much appreciated! The work was planned and executed without any issues, and we are very happy with our new roof. Thank you Kevin and Jorden!"

"Excellent experience dealing with Beyond Exteriors. Very professional, quick to respond out to provide estimate, and were able to come out the following week to do the job. They installed new gutters and downspouts, leaf guards, and repaired fascia for me, and did a wonderful job. I've had contractors do work at my house, and some are good with clean-up while others aren't. Aside from the fact that I had new gutters etc installed, I couldn't even tell that the installers had been to my house b/c they didn't leave any debris behind. Also, great customer service. I rec'd a call the day prior to confirm installation, then a call afterward to follow-up. Very professional. I think their prices may be slightly on the higher end, but, being a gov't worker, I know that choosing a project solely on price is not always beneficial for the customer. I've learned that you pay for what you get. I am very happy with the level of customer service and quality of work received from BE; can't emphasize this enough. I know I'll need a new roof eventually, so I'm definitely going to call them again. I recommend Beyond Exteriors for 1.) quality of work 2.) great customer service 3.) promptness of installers."
