"This worked out great. Richard followed up on my request right away and set up an appountment for the following day. He said to buy the locks I want (he made some brand recommmendations) and he would work with whatever choices I wanted. When he arrived I actually had additional locks I was hoping to install, along with a keypad lock and he not only had no problem with the change in plans but took the time to explain everything he was doing and why (some damage to the doors required a change of plans). He took his time, listened to my requests and did great work. Overall this was fast, friendly service and I felt his price was very fair. Would 100% use Richard again without hesitation."

"Great contractor! We hired Mr. Joseph to repair deteriorating front porch columns & renovate a wooden storm door. He made sound, knowledge based suggestions to replace the closers, hinges, & knob. The door was painted, rehung, and closes better than it has in years. We are very pleased with the results of the columns and door. He is a good communicator & responds quickly. We will definitely use again."
Handymen Project
Bottom portion of plaster wall was once repaired with sheet of drywall. With no meaningful connection between drywall, drywall mud, and true plaster, the weight of the old plaster above, with nothing to hold onto, or to hold it, collapsed.

"Alan is incredibly professional and stakes his reputation on a job well done. He was very responsive and kept me informed of their schedule every step of the way. I'm having a bunch of work done on the house and am discovering that good communication seems to be the exception rather than the rule. The crew was very professional and cleaned up after themselves every day. The work they performed was top quality and they did a good job of matching the 80 year old lime mortar. I can tell where the work was done but only because I know where to look. It was also amazing what was involved in repairing some of the large cracks. They literally took out bricks all the way down one section of the wall. On the second story there was a small crack Alan had identified under a window. When his crew was up repairing it they determined that it went quite a bit further than you could see from the ground. They repaired the entire crack without charging me any extra. They could have just fixed what was obviously visible and I never would have known there was still a problem. But that is not the way Alan works. He and his crew obviously take pride in what they do and do a thorough job. I am highly satisfied with all of the work that was done and will absolutely hire Alan to do any other masonry repairs that are needed on my house.

"Wes had to replace an old hand cut wood door for us on our condo - the historic property management has done a terrible job keeping up the building. Our door no longer fit the frame and we had large cracks inbetween the door and the jamb. It was an absolute mess that the management company painted and resealed over again and again. Wes ripped out all of this existing work that was done improperly, fixed the moulding and frame to be square and hand cut our new door. Our a/c actually cools the room for the first time since we moved in! There is no light peaking through the frame and the room is much quieter now too. We're so happy - I would happily recommend Wes and his assistant again! Quality work on a tough project and they finished before dusk that day!"

"The customer service was amazing from the girl, Kelly who answered the phone and scheduled them to come out all the way to the maintenance person there. I appreciated their work and they fixed it fast.

"Overall, a very good experience.  I purchased two hours of carpentry work for $69 from a 'big deal' ad from Bob's Odd Jobs.  Bob immediately replied upon payment and said he would contact me shortly to schedule an appoitment.  After not hearing from Bob for a week, I reached back out to him. He replied immediately and said that he had been having computer issues.  Anyway, we scheduled an appointment for a week out.  Bob arrived several minutes EARLY and was apologetic.  This was not a problem, and I led Bob to the troublesome pocket door.  Bob carefully removed the necessary door frame parts, then wrestled with getting the door out.  The replacement hardware I had purchased prior to Bob's arrival was not exactly the same as the original, which presented some problems.  (Try finding pocket door hardware at Lowes and HD; very limited selection.)  Bob worked diligently and creatively to eventually get the door hardware replaced and back on track, and the door frame back in place.  The entire job took quite a bit longer that I would have hoped - 4 hours.  At the two hour mark, I asked Bob about his 'overtime' rate and he completed the work for the same $35/hour rate I got from the 'big deal', so a total of $169.  But the work was done right, Bob cleaned up after himself, and he made sure to ask if I was satisfied with everything before he left.  I would not hesitate to use Bob again for handyman jobs around my house.
