"We are a national Contractor doing work all over the US, jobs are small/medium in scale and the schedules are very tight and must be maintained, of the 50+ concrete contractors we will typically use each year, ProCrete is hands down at the top of the list. Great pricing, always on time with completions, quality of work is always excellent and they are always willing to go the extra mile (literally as they have done projects for me in NJ, NY, MD, DE). I only wish they were nationwide as I would give them ALL my work, without question!! Very Highly recommended!!"

"Outstanding job! I am extremely pleased with the work. They did my large driveway and also pointed my brick steps. They finished on time and did some nice little extras at no charge. Highly recommended!"

"I contacted Ron to come out and give me an estimate for new concrete around my new pool. His price was very reasonable for all the work that needed to be done. They removed all my old concrete, disposed of it and leveled out the remaining dirt/sand. Ron and his men were great! They were able to work around my new pool that was installed, and filled the concrete up right up next to the coping. They they were always on time, and I had no problems with them whatsoever. They had everything completely finished as was quoted on his estimate sheet. They took care not to let any newly poured concrete into the new pool that was already filled with water. I would highly recommend Ron and his men for anyone looking for concrete work in and around their house. (Delayed post from 2017.)"

"Tony and his crew did part of our driveway and a walkway 4 weeks ago. He and his team were professional, informative, punctual, and trustworthy. The job was reasonably priced and expertly done. Tony even called after the job was completed to follow-up and make sure that we were pleased with the work. The best experience we’ve had with a contractor to date! We highly recommend Bayshore Concrete and would not hesitate to hire them again for future concrete and masonry work!"

"The short story:  This is a glowing endorsement of this company.  If you are looking for waterproofing/basement expertise, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT HESITATE to call. <br /> The long story: <br /> We bought a new home and found we had a leak in the basement.  We first hired a reputable plumber to check it out, thinking it was a problem with our sump pump because the leak was near there.  However, the plumber said it wasn't a plumbing problem and instead thought it was a waterproofing problem.  So I went on Angie's list and found dozens of outstanding reviews for this company and went for the $55 consultation.  Boy, was that the right move!  I should have known with the reference packet he sent us before his visit and the awards he's received on Angie's list. <br /> Mike (the owner) responded promptly, came out and was professional, courteous, and had a great manner.  He was very collaborative in his approach and walked us through his evaluation every step of the way.  He took his time and had a few hypotheses of the problem, but ultimately, one of his suggestions was correct: it was a small leak in the main sewage line going into the wall near the sump pump- it was his observation of the drain flies that made him think this.  It was real detective work! <br /> I should mention the process actually took 2 visits, with in-between suggestions on discovering the problem.  Initially, we all thought it was a drainage issue, and we talked numbers for replacement (his quotes seemed reasonable).  However on the second visit, he cracked the case by his suggestion, as he was insistent on checking the root of the problem (which turned out to be plumbing problem, misdiagnosed by first plumber).  I have never met a contractor that was as transparent, honest, and dependable as he is.  It was truly awesome. <br /> I will recommend him to all my friends and family and feel wonderful about having consulted him. <br /> A real gem in the back pocket! <br />"

"It went great. First, the sales person was very helpful explaining the mold testing and remediation process. He went through the steps that would be taken and then he followed up with the results. On the french drain,/sump pump change out/ wall rebuild, it was quick and painless. Again my sales person was very clear in the process and the steps. When he came for a walk through there were some options in what would occur in the installation and he made fully aware of any potential changes in cost (there were none though). The workers came on time (ok a bit early) and finished early as well. Finally, they were helpful and clear walking through all the changes that occurred and the guarantees given."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Atlantic City, NJ

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
