"I called Wilde Irrigation at 9 am and had service technician at my home within 1 hour. I needed our sprinkler system winterized. We had 2 other companies no-show. Wilde Irrigation did the job efficiently and at a reasonable cost to me. Other companies promised a technician, and did not show up. If you are looking for reliability and dedication to their trade, hire Wilde."

"Mike and Barbara were great to deal with throughout the whole assessment, design, and scheduling process. We were delayed in completing the project for quite a while due to unforeseen issues on our end. Barbara was very helpful throughout. The quote did change due to the cost of materials since our original visit, which we expected. The installation day went very well with devoted and hardworking crew putting in a large 12 zone system to most efficiently use my well set up. The sub contracted plumber was timely, accommodating, and exceptionally professional. He handled all clean up and made sure that I was happy with the entire process before he left. My one word of caution is make sure that your lawn is mowed short on the day prior to system installation. The machine used will tear out tall grass. This is consistent across all companies and not specific to Mike Lynch Irrigation. I did not know that prior and definitely did see the result. Mike worked hard to limit any issues and I will say, that the team at Mike Lynch Irrigation put in extra effort in the clean up, to try to lessen the noticeable issues. The lawn has almost returned to normal about a week later. This is an area that I didnâ t know to look for, and Mikeâ s team did help. They took the time to walk through the system operation, functions, and even walk tested every head with me to ensure everything was to my satisfaction before leaving. I would recommend Mike, Barbara, and all the folks at Mike Lynch Irrigation for your irrigation system needs. The cost was very reasonable, the work was top notch, and the team was extremely professional!"

"They delivered the mulch on time. However they will not put the mulch in the yard, it must be on the driveway. The delivery man informed me that the Owner wouldn't allow it because he had a truck sink in a yard more than likely in a shallow septic system leaching field. I could understand that as long as the homeowner didn't know their own yard. It just made it very difficult for me being a 60+ year old to shovel it onto a wheelbarrow and get it across the yard. Other than that, the mulch is of excellent quality and lasted quite a long time."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Auburn, MA

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
