"I wouldn't recommend them. We ordered all the stuff before we moved into our new house. There seemed to be some changes in the company, so the person that was working with us left pretty soon thereafter. We felt like there wasn't a lot of time between the first person and the last. There were a number of things on backorder. A number of things arrived broken and actually continued to arrive broken. There were a couple of glass parts that arrived broken 3 or 4 times before I finally had to call them. I called them and they said they would just order them again. We had done that 4 times and I didn't think it would be any different. So I called the manufacturer and had them ship the parts directly to me. They weren't very responsive particularly in terms of correcting a problem. They were pretty disorganized. Everything is resolved at this point. The only thing nagging was getting the broken parts replaced and we did that. I wouldn't go back there."

"Based on Angie's List's note that Ace Hardware stores repaired lamps, I called the Ace Hardware in Cincinnati's Clifton neighborhood to check on whether it did so. I was told that their part-time repair person, Bob, would be in that day <br /> and I could drop off my lamp and pick it up within an hour or two. I <br /> didn't get to meet Bob, but when I returned in two hours, I was told <br /> that he'd cleaned out corrosion as well as repairing whatever it was <br /> that needed to be fixed so the lamp wouldn't blink on and off at random. <br /> Total cost was $5 or $6 - I picked up a couple of other items and can't <br /> remember precisely. It works perfectly, and I can't recommend Ace <br /> highly enough. Thanks, Bob. <br />"

"After experiencing some intermittent circuit breaker problems, a wall outlet and two ceiling lights quit working. I called Evans Electric mid-morning on a Monday. The receptionist called me back about an hour later to tell me that a technician would arrive between 2-3pm that same day. A nice young man arrived as we were told and went right to work - testing the outlets and tracked down problem down to a faulty closet light that was wired improperly and had possibly been sparking for some time. He replaced the fixture and also added a wire to two of the wall outlets. He checked out our fuse box as well. It was fine. He offered to check any other electrical problems that we might have - we did not. He was very professional, friendly and polite and seemed very knowledgeable. (He also liked our cats, scratching them and allowing them to supervise him - a big plus!!)"

FAQs for swimming pool remodeling projects in Aurora, IN

You can modernize your pool by adding features like underwater LED lighting, mosaic tiles, or a beach entry for easy access. Incorporating amenities like fire pits, waterfalls, or installing energy-efficient equipment can also give your pool a contemporary upgrade.

To make your pool more energy-efficient, consider resurfacing it with a lighter color to reduce heating needs and evaporation. Installing a variable-speed pump can significantly lower energy consumption. Switching to low-energy LED lights not only saves power but also enhances ambiance. Additionally, updating old plumbing pipes can improve efficiency and reduce water loss.

A pool remodel typically takes between four and eight weeks to complete. The exact duration depends on factors such as the size of your pool, the complexity of the renovations, and the availability of materials and contractors. Planning ahead and coordinating with a professional pool remodeler can help ensure your project stays on schedule.

Remodeling your pool can be a worthwhile investment, especially if you plan to sell your home. A pool remodel can increase your property's value and enhance its appeal to potential buyers. Upgrades like modern finishes, energy-efficient systems, and added features like lighting or fountains can transform an outdated pool into a backyard oasis.

Resurfacing a pool involves applying a new finish to the existing surface to address cosmetic issues and minor structural concerns. Replastering is a more extensive process that replaces a deeper layer of the pool's structural base, impacting both stability and appearance. After replastering, you can choose from various finishes to enhance the design and longevity of your pool.
