"I joined Angie's List to find a provider for this project. I had a crack in the bottom of my tub and needed to get it fixed or replaced. <br /> The reviews for Neighborhood Plumber were all good and my experience mirrored all the good things I read before contacting them. Larry was prompt in returning my query and came out to give me a free estimate. We discussed what could go wrong (might have to cut the wall to get it in the small space) and what to expect. He gave me good advice about deciding on the quality of materials and a cost and time estimate that was right on the money (low end of the estimate, even!) <br /> He offered to email me pictures of the tubs and surrounds available at the local big box stores and also price the same or better at his warehouse supplier. I got an itemized receipt for the exact materials, prices about $100 less for the total than what I had estimated at the local home supply store. <br /> We set a date (he was able to get me on the schedule within 7 days) and he and his helper arrived exactly when they said they would and got to work. Everything went just like we hoped. No wall cutting, no electrical issues (the panel for the house was very close to the back of the tub) and the only remaining issue is doing the minor drywall work around the surround edges and then painting. We talked beforehand and agreed that dealing with the drywall and quot;fixesand quot; would be a separate job for someone else. <br /> I am thrilled with the project. Talk about coming in on time and under budget. The total cost was exactly what he said the low end would be and they finished in one day, just like they were planning.
