"I was a little nervous about ordering windows on the internet using measurements I'd taken myself, but I loved the design on the website so, initially I only ordered 2 windows to check the quality, my ability to measure accurately and the company's ability to build to my measurements. Jeff, the salesman I dealt with was attentive without being overwhelming and the first order was delivered in about 4 weeks. The windows were exactly what I was looking for and fitting them was a breeze. I followed up with another order for the remaining 13 windows in my porch and again, they arrived quickly, were of great quality, exactly to size and easy to fit. Looking forward to see how they last their first winter."

"<p> from 1st contact thru the final day we were impressed. </p> We are on a hill and have strong winds and also had strong storms that delayed progress, they cleaned up at the end of every day. They called alled us 1st thing in the morning if the winds were high or storms rolling in and best not to work. They showed us ahead of time why they did something a certain way.  They were outstanding at their job. I could go on but the important thing is NO PRESSURE, Very good materials, outstanding, articulate craftsmen that do the job right, with pride in their work and customer service their number one goal. Thank-you all for and great job. <br />"

"We could not be happier. From estimating and planning through the team in the field Ryan provided excellent, thoughtful, proactive service. Every member of the Ryan team was prompt. The team who did the work on site were a pleasure to work with. They patiently answered questions, helped us cope with our anxieties, and were in general just super polite and professional. Each day they cleaned up thoroughly.  <br /> The job cost a gillion dollars?other bids were comparable or slightly lower but for not as high quality product. Bottom line: expensive but very good value in terms of finished product and superb value in terms of process and peace of mind. <br />"

"We put on a sunroom, a bedroom suite and a mud room. Full basement. Contractor kept on the subcontractors on time and on schedule. We started each week with a what was going to happen. Who was coming to do it and what we could expect that could disrupt us. <br /> I thought it went very well. Other than some weather problems, lots of rain the project stayed on schedule. I am very pleased. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"<p>The windows are holding up good and they are very good. If we have an issue, or think we have an issue, they are right there. They are guaranteed forever, I guess, I don't know. I don't know how it is going to work out, but so far they have been really good. Their workmanship is quality. </p>"

"We just completed installing a motorized retractable awning from [*** Link removed ***] and are super pleased with the quality of the build, appearance and customer support.? This Italian-designed, engineered and manufactured awning is assembled and shipped from RetractableAwnings.com Florida plant, so if you need assistance with the install, you should contact a local handyman, carpenter or contractor.? Ours is a Palermo Plus, 16 ft. wide, with an 11 ft.-10 in. projection.? The Internet salesperson, Eric Scop, V.P., really worked with us to understand all the options and get fabric swatches.? We ultimately selected a combination Rain/Sun sensor and Vibration sensor to automatically retract the awning in case of heavy rain or excessive wind.? I spoke with Rocky, their installation expert, for advice on preparing the ledger board to attach the awning to our vinyl sided home, right below the soffit.? His advice was instrumental in making the install go so well.? Further, the awning arrived already programmed to the Soliris transmitter and the motor limit switches were also set.? It shipped in a fiberboard box (this one was about 17 ft long and 1 ft x 1 ft square, weighing over 200 lbs.), which was extremely tough.? The truck driver ignored the box orientation stickers and used a hand truck to move it from the center, rather than two hand trucks, one at each end, per the clear placarding on the box.? Despite this, it arrived in great shape, other than a couple minor paint scratches, which we will fix with touchup paint they are sending at no charge.? While the enclosed wall brackets were different from those described in the installation manual (an improved design), installing them was no problem. An extra bracket was included, which we also installed as this will be a large ?sail? on the side of the house and we want it to stay there. We extend our sincere thanks to the team at RetractableAwnings.com, and for those review sites that accept photographs, we include the following photo."

"Nick came and gave me an estimate on a Tuesday and took the trees down the next day. This was part 1 of 2. He will be installing a fence, removing a concrete patio area and fixing the really ugly flower beds. He has been very helpful through this whole process. Because of his prompt service I have hired him to do some tree work at my rental property."

"He was very friendly and knowledgeable.  We even went to Lowes to discuss further bathroom options for the remodel for my client.  We were supposed to receive an email after Thanksgiving with an estimate for the remodel.  I didn't get an estimate so I texted and asked when we should expect it.  No response.  I texted again a few days later saying we needed the estimate by Monday as we were going to gather other estimates as well.  Again, no response.  Not even a text saying he was too busy to take on the job or anything.  I really liked Ken but the lack of response was really troubling to my client and myself as well.  I'm sure he does great work if you can get a hold of him. <br />"

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Austin, MN

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
