"After receiving 3 quotes for replacing my deteriorating retaining wall, I chose J&R Chavez Landscaping. Positive reviews, the owner’s assessment, and a reasonable estimate convinced me. I accepted their bid on December 29, 2025. J&R submitted the permit request two days later. Unfortunately, the permit was approved on February 13, 2026, outside contractor control. Work began on February 16, with a good crew working when weather permitted. Delays due to quite bad winter were unavoidable. They discovered the old wall lacked a proper footing so the estimate was adjusted to install a new footing. Jose was transparent about necessary adjustments. The installation took until April 4, 2026, due to weather delays and town inspections. I’m very pleased with the strong, well-drained wall. I enjoyed dealing with J&R Chavez Landscaping with two small issues, communication about delays could be improved and Jose never got back to me about some agreed post job landscaping. Still, great job."

"We had an amazing experience with John Krause Construction. We originally called them because our basement kept getting water in it every time it rained. While they were at our house for the basement waterproofing estimate we had them take a look at our deck and kitchen just to get an idea of the pricing. Once we received the estimate we decided to move forward with all of the work because we were able to get a great deal for doing all of the projects at the same time. We are beyond satisfied with the results and will definitely call them again for any future projects."

"When they did the edges, I didn’t want them to put the bricks there. I wanted them to put a trench to separate where the grass started and the flower bed. I asked them to do it because I wanted it to look more professional and not like something crazy I did that wasn’t straight. It looks very crooked like something I would have done. The front they did well. I told him and he came back out and let him off the hook. He acknowledgeable that he could have done a better job. They didn’t’ put the extensions on the down spout far enough. So now I need to re-dig and make them lower or add more top soil above. They didn’t do a professional job as I would have liked. They were supposed to spray and a couple of days later I noticed that none of the vegetation was dying. I called back and they acknowledge it and came back out. They were responsive.    I tried to use them again but they were not responsive."

"Our above ground pool was installed in no time at all. The installers were very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend them."

"Super, Jacob, the technician ensured he treated the entire lawn. Additionally, during his inspection he noticed damage from surface feeding insects and treated the lawn and surrounding trees to prevent further harm to the lawn. He also spot treated for broadleaf weeds and nutsedge as well as made recommendations on how to continually maintain my lawn. Appreciate his thoroughness and care."

"I'd previously asked Backyard Ponds to clean and net my ponds the last week in September. I called the Friday before to find out when they could come, and they agreed to send their workers on Monday. They team arrived on time. They were pleasant and professional I walked them through what I wanted them to do. It was a complicated job; there were three ponds, and each pond required different care. The team went to work right away. They spent most of the day on the effort, breaking only for lunch. When they were done, I inspected the ponds. The only thing I had to ask them to do was put a net over the waterfall on one of the ponds. The fish they handled were in good condition after the cleaning. The workers left no debris on the job site. The company sent the bill in a timely manner, listing labor and materials so I would understand the charges. I would happily use them again!"

"A GREAT EXPERIENCE!! We went on Angie's List and found The Pond Doctor and read the reviews. We contacted Mark King, the owner, and described the work we would like done and sent him pictures of our garden pond. Mark responded right away and explained the steps needed to clean the pond and outlined what his company would do and he then provided us a cost estimate. We felt comfortable with selecting The Pond Doctor and Mark placed us on his work schedule and a few days later Jeremiah, the foreman, and his crew arrived. Everyone on the crew was polite, professional, and experienced and quickly tackled the large job ahead of them. The end result - our pond looks wonderful. After removing all the muck, the pond and waterfall were power washed, vacuumed, and the pond refilled with clean water. The pond looks as good now as it did 20-years ago and we owe it all to The Pond Doctor!! It's easy to see why The Pond Doctor is "A" rated and received Angie's Super Service Award. We feel fortunate to have found The Pond Doctor and to have had the opportunity to work with Mark and Jeremiah and his crew. We highly recommend The Pond Doctor as your "go to solution" for any garden pond projects and needs."
