"Darryl and his nephew did great work again, even as we added more to the remodel he made time to do the work. He replaced some of the sub flooring where I had weak spots, all new flooring and baseboard with accent. He also ripped out my old sliding glass door and replaced it with French doors that I bought which he also picked up for me. He will be doing my guest bathroom shower next."

"We recently purchased a 1 BR ocean front investment property in Myrtle Beach. The place needed a complete overhaul. I was very nervous about finding the right contractor because I do not live in the area and we couldn't find a trusted contractor with my limited contacts. I vetted several contractors and settled on One Stop Plus after speaking to the owner and their project manager, Anthony. I couldn't be happier with the work. I can't say enough good things about Anthony. He was ALWAYS available to answer my questions, provide his thoughts when we had to make decisions, and to work through any hiccups along the way. They work fast and efficiently. With any large reno, not everything goes smoothly but Anthony and his team were able to respond quickly and remedy any issues. I am very happy we chose One Stop and I would highly recommend them."

"Avoid this business. They have terrible follow-up, customer service, and owners. They are very unprofessional, insulting and condescending. They care only about getting their money. As examples, I asked them what they would do about my gutter guards 5 weeks before they were supposed to replace my roof, and they didn't respond. Then the week they were supposed to do the work they sent a document that said they aren't responsible for removing, reinstalling or replacing gutter guards with the disclaimer of course that they wouldn't be responsible for any damage. Their document also wanted me to inform them of any concerns in writing, before they did their work, I did. One thing I told them is that I have new grass in part of my lawn and also told them that they can access my entire house and yard, without walking on that area. Their response was: If the ground is soft and 10 people walk on it over one day it can get damaged. Their reply also insulted me by twice saying "It is really just common sense..." I told them to stay off of an area and they could get everywhere without walking on it, and rather than say "OK, we will certainly avoid it if we can, thanks for letting us know." they said what I posted above. One of the owners then called me and again was insulting. I reiterated the above, letting him know I was just doing what their document told me, and he said "Yep, that is just common sense" and started just saying "Sensitive people..." as if I was being an idiot. I say: don't walk on this area of my lawn and He says: if people walk on it it will get damages, that's just common sense. And of course he then let me know that they'd be billing me for 10% of the total cost (which I figured, because it is in the signed proposal) and if I didn't, they'd turn me over to collections. I asked why they didn't get back to me about my gutter guards when I asked. He deflected that and said something non-sensical. Avoid them at all costs. I will pay the 10% and sleep better knowing I don't have an uncaring, unprofessional company working on my house. If I could leave a ZERO start review, I would."

"End your contractor search here. This is the one! Get ready for TD Home Services to exceed every expectation for your needs. I’m not a review writer but, in this case, I feel compelled. Despite the frequent adage that remodels are a stressful undertaking, my experience with Travis and his team in remodeling my 40 year old ocean front condo bathroom has been collaborative, enjoyable, and produced the most fantastic result I could have ever imagined. In fact, the final outcome will now be the first thing I show off to any guest. Travis has the kind of attention to detail that embodies the kind old school values that I thought had become extinct. He went the extra mile to ensure all aspects of the project are complete and secure for years to come. He maintained excellent communication throughout the entire process and, through that, paid attention to my style and preferences to suggest small improvements/modifications that not only meet the esthetic I hoped to achieve, but incorporated his experience and practical understanding for the most functional approach. From this he took, with my permission, the liberty to add small touches that made the final result clean, cohesive, and elevated. Plus, the level of patience and dedication to ensure that the outcome is exactly what I wanted was a welcomed surprise and made the entire process stress free. On top of that, his genuine enthusiasm for the progress and anticipation for the final product was evident and elevated my excitement for the completion even further. I truly understand what he meant when he told me at our initial planning meeting that he loves his work… and it shows! One of the most important accolades I can convey is that the level of respect and care given to my home on a daily basis was no less than outstanding. His team ensured that my entire home, not to mention my surrounding environment and neighbors were treated with the utmost respect. Every day on the job, he meticulously laid out floor protection and took measures to safeguard the home and route to the bathroom. And, every day, they applied the same care to remove these and leave no trace of construction. I mean DETAILED! They actually vacuumed the hallway of my condo building to ensure there was no footprints or debris… DAILY! And his associate was extremely friendly, polite, and respectful upon every interaction. Finally, the billing process was very easy and streamlined, and gave me a full understanding of the work I was paying for. I sincerely mean it when I say I got my money’s worth out of going with TD Home Services. I am beyond pleased with the outcome. And I actually look forward to working with TD Services in future remodel projects for my kitchen and other bathroom. If you have been hesitant or considering going with anyone else, DON’T! You’re welcome. The end."

"We needed several projects done on our house starting with repairing loose wooden hand rails on the porch that had rotten and pulled loose from the concrete; and exterior door that had rusted and warped; and a window that also had some water and rot damage. They fixed the rail, put in a new exterior door and painted, and ordered a new wooden window and installed and painted it also. Work looks great and was done in a timely manner. We are planning to have them do more repairs around the house because they were so easy to work and communicate with and repairs were professionally done."

""I recently had my HVAC system replaced by Ma Design, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. From the moment they arrived, their professionalism was evident. They conducted a thorough diagnosis of my old system, identifying issues with the AC operation. They provided me with a great price for the replacement unit, and the service they offered was top-notch. Now, thanks to their expertise, I can enjoy both cool air in the summer and cozy warmth in the winter. I highly recommend for anyone in need of HVAC services!""

FAQs for basement remodeling projects in Aynor, SC

Finishing a basement turns unused square footage into livable space and returns up to 70% of what you spend when you sell your home. Beyond that resale boost, you gain a playroom, home office, or guest suite you can start enjoying right away. That mix of daily comfort and solid return on investment (ROI) makes basement finishing one of the smartest upgrades you can tackle.

In some parts of the country—especially lots on swamps, high water tables, or other wetlands—local codes prohibit basements. Saturated soil puts constant pressure on foundation walls and lets water seep in faster than any sump pump can handle.

If your property sits on waterlogged ground, building on a slab or crawl space is often safer, more affordable, and code-compliant.

Most basements wrap up in four to eight weeks. Framing takes three to five days, with electrical and plumbing rough-ins following over the next week. Add five days for drywall, two to three for flooring, and another week for paint, trim, and punch-list items.

Delays can happen if materials run late or your contractor’s calendar is packed, so build in a little cushion when you plan.

Whether a finished basement counts toward your home’s official square footage depends on local rules. Many areas only include below-grade space if it has code-approved egress, fully finished walls, ceilings, and floors, plus consistent heating.

Check with your local assessor or building department before you start; meeting those standards can affect taxes, appraisals, and resale value.

Building codes require a checklist: dedicated heat and electrical service, a code-approved stairway, and at least one egress window or exterior door. Walls, ceilings, and floors must be fully finished and meet insulation, ventilation, and fire-separation standards. If you add a bedroom, you’ll also need a closet, proper clearances, and safe exits. If you change the layout later, be ready to update the space so every new room still meets today’s code.
