Instead of putting joint pieces up. Alex had them cut the boards exactly to the corners. It looks FANTASTIC! I also gutted the bathroom in the basement and the guys did great work. The workers were friendly and were not lazy. The rest of the basement was pretty straight forward. By the time I purchased all the materials, the cost was more than I had anticipated, but the quality of the work made it worth not choosing the cheapest option. "We hired General Remodeling Group to remodel our outdated kitchen. This was our first major home remodeling and we were completely overwhelmed with the project. Vidas, the project manager, and his staff were truly valuable in walking us through this process. He listened patiently while we described our ideas and offered suggestions and sage advice. He was always available either through texts or emails. His prompt responses were appreciated. Max was also so helpful through every step of the remodel. He accompanied us to the various vendors to help and advised us in choosing our countertop, backsplash, flooring, wall paints etc. He was always patient with us as we spent a lot of time trying to make good decisions. Part way through the project, Max discovered water damage from the bathroom above the kitchen.Vidas and Max informed us right away and we worked on an agreeable solution for repairs. "Fantastic experience with a responsive, highly skilled, professional team. We initially contacted LFC to redesign a half wall/counter in a basement kitchenette area so we could remove and replace an old refrigerator. Tony listened, assessed the situation and came up with a very creative and cost effective solution for our problem. They cut back the half wall and kept the counter by carefully cutting it and installing a hinge so it could swing up and down. To save on flooring costs, they used extra carpet and tile that we had and blended it in. We were so pleased that we had him come back out to look at the recurring rotten wood problem around our front door entryway and our garage door. Tony suggested cost effective, non-wood materials, and a custom design by his carpenter to preclude further water erosion. Both projects were completed in a timely manner by a team of highly skilled professionals who take pride in their work. The level of detail in the intricate carpentry work is exceptional."

"I highly recommend City Renovations and Remodeling to new and experienced homeowners and investors. In fact, Mike Wiggs, owner of the company, was highly recommended to me from a trusted source. Mike has been my designer, general contractor and project manager for over three years. He and his team of subcontractors for all the trades and handymen have successfully completed numerous projects for me. The internal big jobs included Mike and his team remodeling my basement into a permitted apartment with an egress window, injection well system, and recessed lighting; remodeling my kitchen into a larger space, better layout and upgraded appliances, cabinets, backsplashes (e.g., switching from an electric cooktop island to a slide-in gas range and installing a peninsula); changing the location of the sliding door and a set of windows in my sunroom for better flow and sightline from the front door entry to the patio door leading to my wooded backyard; replacing the damaged one of the two HVAC systems (i.e., one for the first floor and basement and the other for the second floor); and whole house interior painting and decorative touches (accent walls, trim, etc.) The external big jobs included Mike and his team resolving the sources of severe water damage to my two-story front door entry area and installing a new door, side lites and stoop. He resolved other water problems at my house by installing upgraded, larger gutters connecting to a new underground drainage system, and re-grading a section of the backyard next to my house in order to better collect water coming onto the house and move it away from the house. The other jobs Mike and his team completed include installing decorative lighting in the front of my house and security lighting at the sides and back; installing and repairing wooden privacy fencing in my backyard; washing away years of mold, mildew and stains from the siding of my house; and installing shelving for two closets and the laundry room to increase my storage space. After years of City Renovations and Remodeling successfully improving or repairing my home, I hired the company to help me with an investment rental property. Mike completed a walk-thru assessment and report to supplement the information from the home inspector and appraiser. Through my pre-purchase consultation with Mike, I got a good idea of what it would take improve the property given my goals and budget.
